2	Double Helix Digest	Double Helix Digest is a peer-reviewed undergraduate journal at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign that features undergraduate writing in biology, chemistry, and related fields. DHD aims to publish articles that are accessible to a wide audience and impactful regardless of the reader’s scientific background. DHD’s mission is to guide undergraduates through the full process of writing and publishing a scientific paper, while giving them a glimpse into the world of academic research and communication. Through weekly workshops, constructive feedback, and informative seminars, DHD walks students step by step through each stage of writing, with the ultimate goal of publishing one high-quality issue each academic year. 3	REACT	Interested in volunteering to inspire young students? Enjoy leading and performing science experiments? And for all James Scholar students, are you in need of honors credit? Then we are a perfect fit! This semester we are holding in-person visits with Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Middle School, and High School classrooms within a 15-mile radius. Supplies will be delivered to the classrooms by a REACT Board Member, and volunteers will guide the students through chemistry experiments. We are also planning various special events with many community partners. 5	Beta Psi Omega	Beta Psi Omega aims to provide a supportive brotherhood for students pursuing the biological sciences to further the advancement of biology as a science and profession. We are committed to serving the needs of students and thereby the community. Beta Psi Omega is aimed to connect passionate students with opportunities, insights, and guidance to success. 6	Bioscience Journal Club	Bioscience Journal Club is an open, welcoming place for undergraduate students to review scientific research papers. Members will collaboratively interpret papers from a variety of biological fields while practicing presentation, reasoning, and critical thinking skills. The club hopes to bring together academically driven students interested in staying up to date on new technologies and discoveries. Additionally, we highly encourage students of any background of study to come and join us. Members will have the opportunity to choose the club's topics and papers.
