Students are nominated with an essay written by a parent, teacher, counselor, neighbor, employer, etc. The essay should convey why this high school senior is an ExtraordinAIRy Treasure to our future by including an overview of the nominee's life skills in action such as perseverance in overcoming difficult circumstances, integrity, kindness, and commitment to community to name a few. Gwendolyn S. Duran Memorial Scholarship Fund$1,000.0006/15/2020Through the Gwendolyn S. Duran Memorial Scholarship Fund, CALSS awards scholarships to students in Colorado pursuing courses of study in the area of law. Recipients may be pre-law or law school students or individuals attending programs such as a paralegal, legal secretarial, or court reporter course at an institution of higher education. The amount awarded annually varies from year to year based upon eligibility criteria and funds available. When funds permit, a scholarship or scholarships may be awarded annually to a CALSS member or members for CLE, programs, or courses of study in Colorado to pursue or enhance a legal career.
