General Clean-up

Spectral Fish cause Spectral Currents (NQ/HQ). Rare Fish (Little Levi, Drunkfish, etc). DO NOT cause Spectral Currents.

Removed the Double Hooks tab

Go for Spectral Fish to cause Spectral Currents for the minion/mount!! You don't need Fisher's Intuition for Spectrals.

To Do: Add icons for the special fish baits.

/shout the area's Spectral Fish bait to let everyone know!

The Southern Strait of Merlthor

RNG (Very Long Wait - !!! tug)

Go for these to try and proc a Spectral Current if you want the minion/mount.

Ghoul Barracuda (Krill) -> Mooch/Mooch II -> Gladius (!!) = Fisher's Intuition

100 GP for Mooch II. Rewards White Scrips.
Mooching will sometimes catch Momoras. Can be NQ or HQ.

Hi-aetherlouse (Ragworm) -> Mooch/Mooch II -> Great Grandmarlin

Spectral Current Rare. 100 GP for Mooch II.
Can either be caught with Shrimp Cage Feeder or under Fisher's Intuition proc.

The Northern Strait of Merlthor

Go for these to try and proc a Spectral Current if you want the minion/mount.

Tossed Dagger (Ragworm) -> Mooch/Mooch II -> Elder Di. (!!)

100 GP for Mooch II. Rewards White Scrips.
Can be NQ or HQ.

Gugrusaurus (Plump) -> Identical Cast -> Gugrusaurus x4 ( Double Hook)

Spectral Current Rare.
Can either be caught with Heavy Steel Jig or under Fisher's Intuition proc.

Spectral Megalodon

RNG (Very Long Wait - !!! tug)

Go for these to try and proc a Spectral Current if you want the minion/mount.

Galadian Chovy (Krill) -> Identical Cast -> Galadian Chovy x2 ( Double Hook)

750 GP to use this rotation.
A lot of GP but guarantees Fisher's Intuition. Can be NQ or HQ.

Heavenskey (Ragworm) -> Identical Cast -> H.key // Navigator's Print (Krill)

Spectral Current Rare. 350 GP for Identical Cast.
Can either be caught with Glowworm or under Fisher's Intuition proc.

Go for these to try and proc a Spectral Current if you want the minion/mount.

Crimson Monkfish (Plump) -> Identical Cast -> Crimson Monkfish

350 GP for Identical Cast.
Can be NQ or HQ.

Silencer (Plump) // Deep-sea Eel (Plump) (Any order?)

Spectral Current Rare. 350 GP for Identical Cast.
Can either be caught with Rat Tail or under Fisher's Intuition proc.

General Tips/Info

Pet SCREE for luck.

- Fish do not have to be HQ to cause Fisher's Intuition

Score 2.5k points or higher

- White Scrips (at level 80) come from catching the rare special fish (Drunkfish, Little Leviathan, etc).

Catch a 4-star fish

- Some Spectral Current fish Double Hook for 4 fish.

Catch at least 15 fish during a Spectral Current

- Best bet to get the 10k points for the mount is 2-3 Spectral Currents.

As a Party, catch at least 10 different kinds of fish in the current location (3 different locations)

- Day/Night and Weather do affect fishing rates.

Be the fisher to trigger a Spectral Current

As a Party, catch 100 Seahorses

Grants an Achievement and Title

Score 5k points or higher

Overwrites "Score 2.5k points or higher" bonus

Catch a 5-star fish

Catch at least 35 fish during a Spectral Current

As a Party, catch at least 150 Octopuses

Grants an Achievement and Title

As a Party, catch at least 150 Jellyfish

Grants an Achievement and Title

As a Party, catch at least 200 Sharks

Grants an Achievement and Title

As a Party, catch at least 3 5-star Fish

What is Precision/Powerful Hookset?

Precision/Powerful Hookset is used after and while your Patience buff is up.

General rule is use Precision on " ! ", and Powerful on " !! " and " !!! "

Do I need to use all these baits while leveling up

You can use the new Versatile Lure (sold by the Ocean Voyage vendors) almost anywhere so far.

Specific baits help you in catching specific fish you're looking for if you want to complete your fishing log!

Does gathering/perception matter in Ocean Voyages?

At the moment, it does not appear so.

Does Snagging affect which fish you can catch in

At the moment, it's unknown if certain fish are easier to catch with Snagging on.

Should I use Patience/Patience II before or during Spectral
Currents?

Right now the best way to net 10k is Double Hooking on every Spectral Current you get in a boat ride.
Save GP if you're going for that then Double Hook on !! / !!! tugs.
