Clevedon School, North SomersetMark Anderson @ictevangelistSeptember 201040+ across all year groups from 7-13Started with students working with staff and supporting them with ICT skills and tools that DLs wanted to use along with what staff wanted to learn. Alongside this, the DLs came to sessions to learn new hints/tools/tips/extras from me. Now we have DLs doing all sorts of work from what was originally envisaged to running training events, primary and parent training sessions, talking at big teaching & learning events such as TeachMeet Clevedon and Apple Leadership Summits. Students also create screencasts and bespoke training and are developing resources to go on to the iPad learning site iclevedon.co.uk. Students also contribute to the fortnightly newsletter, they review apps, support other students and generally raising the profile of technology and learning across the school. Students also run genius bar sessions to support students and staff with their use of iPads. One of our DLs is just wrapping up his first bespoke iPad app he's written in xCode which is going to be released on the App Store. I'm sure there's more but I think that's enough for now.@clevedondlwww.ictevangelist.comStudents have contributed a few times to the DLN blog.

Lady Lumley's SchoolChris Sharples @gr8ictJuly 201120x Year 9s and 6x Year 10sWe started out in the Summer of 2011 with a programme to develop digital leaders at Lady Lumley’s School, to develop opportunities like Sports Leaders and DoE, but with a focus on involving students to help develop technology to improve learning in our school. We are not a high tech school and probably cannot afford to be in the future. However, technology is all around us and we need students and teachers to work together to use where it can make a difference. Currently have small teams of SDLs working with teachers and helping DigitalMe develop DL badges. Lots more information on the blogs.http://www.gr8ict.com/digital-leaders/http://www.gr8ict.com/digitalleaders/The first one is the site with content by LLS SDLs. The second is all of my diary of setting up and running DLs as part of a North Yorkshire Strategy.
