2 | Purpose of Document | The Early Literacy Curriculum Council, established through WI Act 20 of 2023, reviews resources submitted by vendors and places recommended resources on the https://dpi.wi.gov/wi-reads webpage. These resources are recommended by the council, but are not mandatory for adoption in districts. District’s are able to choose their own resources provided students receive science-based reading instruction. As the council evaluates submitted resources on a rolling basis, this tool was developed to support schools and school districts in analyzing their own curriculum in order to determine if their current resource(s) or resources under review satisfy the requirements outlined by WI Act 20 of 2023. The School District of Jefferson ACT 20 Reading Council Completed a self-analysis of the current curricular resources and ensured alignment to ACT 20 requirement.
