Twitterhttp://twitter.com/47928524/status/1501337982799863817'@FirefoxSupport Why do they always have to copy what Chrome does? In this case with downloads.
Aren't they supposed to be the alternative browser? If they are going to copy Chrome I better use Chrome if they are not going to differentiate themselves.

'@FirefoxSupport Hey, how about a little respect when you update? Do not change my settings every time! Thanks for causing tons of extra work this morning.

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/858626/status/1501630497436409861Poor @FirefoxSupport is going to get half the Internet yelling at them for changing the behavior of their down-loads.

Automatically saving files instead of giving the chance to open them is a real Chrome move. Ugh.

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/358628/status/1501664412637093888'@FirefoxSupport So working in a CMS with PDF assets that open in a preview is great. Click to download when save file is set auto opens… if malicious pdf hmmmm…

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/607330/status/1502001384924893188Hey @FirefoxSupport @mozilla @firefox, why did you have to change the download prompt, it was perfectly fine before. It is just uterly unpleasant now to not have this prompt.
8
Twitterhttp://twitter.com/6762990/status/1502021081602969603'@FirefoxSupport The automatic download list? Turn it OFF! Or at least have the option to turn it off.
9
Twitterhttp://twitter.com/7800646/status/1502163313689460740'@FirefoxSupport Don't like this behavior as it assumes too much. Is there a way to approve so that an automatic download does not occur? https://t.co/qXvgP2TdE2

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/1884970/status/1502278184540286980Why would @FirefoxSupport "https://t.co/4Br2AOUkNK.panel.shown" option set itself to True when I click on a download? I set it False and it simply set self back to True. v98.0

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/81722/status/1502375052058107905'@FirefoxSupport hey i'm having a problem that i need help with and i can't find an answer online and i haven't heard from anyone on yr team yet, some help would be greatly appreciated, please and thank you
12
Twitterhttp://twitter.com/028634/status/1502675678189211655'@FirefoxSupport Also, when you download something the Downloads panel opens on its own? It's annoying as hell and pointless, since you usually just keep using the browser while you wait for the download to finish, I'm not gonna stop and stare at the panel until it does. Completely pointless.

'@FirefoxSupport what have you done to the download system? Why is it no longer consistent across websites? Why cannot I not just directly open a zip file from github, leave it in the temp folder for auto-deletion?
15

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/1058947/status/1503248432349126659'@FirefoxSupport please revert what you did to the download popup staying open after saving a file, it is extremely disruptive and annoying, the automatic options (ie launch an app when you dl something) are not working either

'@RealMattSears @FirefoxSupport For now you can set https://t.co/zTFuWHX92i.improvements_to_download_panel to 'false' in about:config but I'm sure they'll get rid of that pref soon, like they usually do when they introduce some terrible "improvement"

'@FirefoxSupport @FateForWindows I only change what I need to, I don't tamper with anything else, but since there's no option in the UI yet (Should have come with the original update) I didn't have a choice.
25
Twitterhttp://twitter.com/3478523/status/1503879016733806592Hey @Mozilla @FirefoxSupport pretty sure no one asked you to remove the download prompt completely. If you gave people a settings option for the different flow, that would be one thing. But to have us all open up Firefox and suddenly have it auto-download and save everything? https://t.co/Oj6KsdoDPJ

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/9808792/status/1504009829748203520'@FirefoxSupport > In this release, you’ll also see that Firefox no longer asks what to do for each file by default.

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/6370039/status/1504055754768195591'@FirefoxSupport @rickc3k Before it just opened like we needed it to and wasn’t saving all these files. Now it’s downloading and saving them then opening them. The end user hates the pop up. I hate that we are now saving thousands of files each day that we don’t need. Please, PLEASE fix this.
32
Twitterhttp://twitter.com/028634/status/1504072638062284804'@FirefoxSupport Yeah, that's useless. Even if you choose "always ask", when you click "open file", it still gets downloaded. So after you've used the file you wanted only opened, you still have to go to the download folder and delete it.

Twitterhttp://twitter.com/70299847/status/1504243455626723333'@FirefoxSupport @malwrhunterteam @mozilla Hi!
