Records are only included if they are set within competitions & within legal wind limits, so no wind assisted times are included

To be included in the top 6 best performance rankings, athletes must compete using senior weights and hurdle heights

Please note Welsh Athletics introduced changes to Age Groups and events in 2026. The old age groups of Under 11, 13,15,17 are no longer offered in competitions.

These age group records can still be seen in previous year record books ie. 2025, 2024, 2023 etc.

The new age groups are Under 20, 18, 16, 14, 12 and the events offered in competitions have been rationised by WA. These are listed per age group.

Some events are marked "Optional" we understand that these may be offered by Competition organisers.

The Club have chosen to use the 2025 lower age group records as a "standard" which needs to be achieved/bettered in order to set a new record.

So the Under 11 2025 records have been used as the standards for the new Under 12 category etc.

Where there is no existing record and therefore no standard a new record can be set without the need to reference
