We have two college pastor roles on our team in two unique locations:

STARKVILLE CAMPUS: The home of Mississippi State University and near to East Mississippi Community College & Mississippi University for Women, over 25,000 students call the Starkville area home! We launched our Starkville campus in 2011 and have seen incredible growth! Currently, we have over 360 students in our ministry and over 40 leaders! Even more, in addition to weekly service within our church, we send hundreds of students on local, national and global mission experiences each year! Our Starkville campus is looking for a dynamic leader to maximize and grow upon an incredible foundation of proven success and a fantastic ministry structure!

OXFORD CAMPUS: The home of Ole Miss and right next door to Northeast Mississippi Community College, over 25,000 student call the Oxford area home! We launched our Oxford campus in 2015 and God has added to our footprint every year! Currently, we have over 320 students in our ministry and almost 40 leaders! Our students are faithful in serving as part of the life-blood of our church in every area and are beginning to have a global impact throughout the world! PINELAKE'S STORY:
The story of Pinelake Church began in February of 1971 in Brandon, Mississippi in a mobile chapel in a rural area near The Reservoir. By God's grace and power, our faith family has grown into a dynamic church spanning five cities throughout our state -- Clinton, Madison, Oxford, the Reservoir, and Starkville. 11/30/2018 9:43:04Associate Campus Missionary - Christian Challenge at UNCOChristian Challenge at the University of Northern Colorado is seeking an Associate Campus Missionary, reporting to the campus ministry director.
- Full-time or bivocational, with a minimum 20 hours per week doing ministry on average
- Prefer a term length of 2 years or more.
- Advancement: Opportunities exist and are being built whereby an associate could be trained under an existing ministry and then to be sent out to serve in a higher leadership role at another ministry in the state, or to start new campus work where Challenge isn't present.
- Funding: Self-support "Ministry Partner Development". Most any SBC seminary graduate can become a NAMB MSC missionary and thus have NAMB fundraising platform and fee coverage. We can help with this process. We would also gladly fund their attendance at a support-raising school, either through NAMB or Support Raising Solutions Bootcamp. If NAMB isn't an option for any reason, we can also process support funds through our ministry accounts.
- Preferable start date is by Aug 1st, could start earlier. Would need to begin support raising in early 2019 to be funded by August 1st.
We focus on three things: evangelism, discipleship, and missions mobilization. Any candidate must share these values and be competent in at least one of these areas, while being willing to grow in others. Essential duties for any candidate would include but not be limited to helping lead and facilitate weekly programs and special events, attendance at weekly staff meeting and monthly Core Team meetings, weekly one-on-one or small-group investment in leaders, regular helping with outreach and evangelism efforts on campus, and attending key annual events. Key annual events include Collegiate Week In August, the Core Team Retreat in August, The Fall Retreat In September, Life Impact Conference in January, Spring Break Mission Trip in March, and the state staff retreat in May. Ideal candidates would be a self-Starter, enjoy teamwork, and loves college students. They would need feel comfortable talking to strangers on a college campus, and okay "officing" out of their backpack. They would need to work hard but place priority on people, not tasks. It is vital that they are experienced in basic spiritual disciplines, evangelism, and one-on-one discipleship.

CHALLENGE:
We are a medium sized campus ministry, but the largest Challenge (SBC) ministry in the state. We were restarted about 15 years ago and have had great success. We currently average about 75-100 active students. At our peak, we've had as many as 150 active students. We have a relatively healthy source of program funds via our local association of churches and annual fundraising events. We have a strong history of leading students to Christ, discipling students, and sending them out on mission on short-term and lifelong missions, as well as raising up leaders for church planting efforts. FYI:
A female associate staff will have immediate investment in discipling students because of the sheer number of female students at UNC and within the Challenge ministry. She will have two bivocational female workers on the team as well as a female student intern with whom to share the ministry workload.
A male associate will need to be a self-starter. There are fewer men at UNC than most colleges our size, and the state of our men's ministry in Challenge is relatively week. A male staff member will be much more engaged in outreach, evangelism, and new student follow-up than a female staff member. He will have one on campus male staff and one bivocational male staff to help share the ministry work.

UNC:
We are a medium sized school of about 10,000 undergrads and 1,500 graduate students. We are a public university, and about 90% of our students come from Colorado. We are the primary teaching and nursing school for Colorado, and have a solid business school, an elite music and theater program, and the best jazz music program of any public university in the nation. We also have a nearby community college with another 6000 students, some of whom attend Challenge programs and events. We have no facilities, and instead rent space on campus and utilize area churches for events. check out www.unco.com for more details.

GREELEY:
It is a mid-size city of about 125,000 people. It is a very blue-collar city, serving as a manufacturing, agriculture, and distribution hub for all of Northern Colorado. The city is one of the fastest growing in the country, yet has the cheapest home prices of any of the major cities in the region. A typical 2-bedroom apartment will cost $850-$1200 a month. The median home price is about $285,000. We are located one hour from Denver, one hour from Denver International Airport, and one hour from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. We are about 2 hours from the most popular ski areas.

CHURCH LIFE:
SBC life is pretty weak in Colorado relative to the Bible Belt, and this is especially true in Greeley. We have a strong local association but the SBC churches in our area are all struggling in various ways. We only have our english-speaking SBC churches in Greeley at this time, three of which have less than 40 people. However, within a 20 minute radius of Greeley there are four church plants that are starting very well.

OTHER:
We could use people who...
1) have worship ability (to lead with a simple acoustic setup and/or train student worship leaders), as we are losing our worship specialist.
2) love the outdoors (e.g. hiking, climbing, rafting, paddleboarding, disc golf, hammocking, camping).
3) Enjoy teaching, especially in small groups.
4) Desire to also work in church planting.

For over 45 years and through various leaders, God has continued to faithfully use The Chapel’s College Ministry to reach college students for Christ. In addition, the ministry has been a leadership development pipeline to raise up pastors, missionaries, Christian school teachers, and key lay leaders. They have also sent out a countless number of Christ–centered men and women into the business world to be salt and light and to spread the Good News of Christ wherever they go.

The Pastor of College Ministry is responsible to make disciples of college students. This includes evangelistic efforts with a focus on (but not exclusive to) the University of Akron, and to disciple and train up believing students both from within The Chapel family and new students who did not grow up at The Chapel.

Teaching/leading/prayer (40%)
They will take point on teaching and shaping the culture for all college programming including both large and small group gatherings, and will be committed to praying for the ministry and the church.

Vision and oversight (20%)
They will take point on the direction and implementation of all programming and events. This includes but is not limited to the planning and oversight of all trips and events, campus outreach efforts, managing the budget, and all college marketing and social media, including the website. 

Leadership/training (20%)
This includes general oversight of the college staff/interns and the training/recruiting/ and equipping of all volunteers including but not limited to small group leaders, tech teams, welcome teams, etc. This also includes maintaining good relationships with key facility/staff at the University of Akron.

General pastoral care (10%)
Provides general pastoral care for college students including but not limited to general mentoring and discipleship, relational and spiritual counseling, weddings, funerals, baptisms, etc.

General Church Staff Involvement (10%)
He serves generally as a staff team member of The Chapel with accompanying duties and assigned responsibilities. This includes Sunday services, divisional meetings, staff meetings, special events, being on-call, emails, etc. This also includes building and maintaining good working relationships with staff in other departments.

Candidate Profile for College Pastor:
-Experience in a leading a college ministry at a mid to large-sized church (Prefer extended experience in church of 1000+ or robust college ministry that's integrated into the church).
-History of ministry growth.
-Gifting in teaching the Word of God clearly to college-age students.
-Gifted in leadership development of volunteers.
-Passionate about discipleship and can implement discipleship both systematically and organically.
-Systematically – A clear process for moving college-age students through discipleship and toward mission.
-Organically – Can personally disciple students and train others to disciple students as well.
-Ability to collaborate and and thrive in team settings whether leading or participating.
-Organized, self-assessing, life-long learner.
-Bible School minimum. Seminary preferred.

The missionary will engage and develop leaders in the church to develop college-focused leadership within the partnering churches.

Minimum Job Requirements
• Four-year college degree
• Recent experience in spiritual engagement and discipling of college students.
• Recent experience in cross-cultural engagement of college students.
• Candidate must be an active member of a Southern Baptist Church.

Expectations
• The Church-Based Collegiate Missionary will be expected to engage with the members of each congregation and develop relationships with the Collegiate Missionary Teams.
