Educational challenges such as large classrooms, undertrained teachers, teacher absenteeism, etc. make it difficult for students to receive quality education which leads to high drop out rates in many parts of the world. By empowering a student with personalized, quality education online, they are able to change the course of their lives and improve their communities. Most volunteers mentor one hour a week (for at least 3-4 months) to virtually meet with their student and help them improve in their school work. Village Book Builders also has a number of resources to help with lesson planning.
