Note: This is not to be taken as an official guide, but just as a few tips and tricks that I’ve learned while playing the game. The guide may need to be updated periodically.

Starting the Game
7
8
Upon starting up the game, you are first greeted with a short tutorial on how to play. But most people don’t care about that. The most important thing for us… is pulling on the gacha! And getting the highest rarity units we possibly can (in this case, 4 stars). So what can you expect from the gacha?
9
10
Well, as of right now, there are two main types of banners:
11
12
1/4/7/10 guaranteed Step Up Scouts
13
14
#REF!
15
16
These banners are generally the best for new players, because you get a guaranteed 4 star unit on your first Multi pull, as well as on the 4th, 7th, and 10th pull.
17
18
Another useful thing to note is that any 4 star units that you pull from these banners will be exclusively the ones listed on the banner. For example, in the banner shown above, you can’t scout any 4 star units except Photo & Sou, Photograph Hestia, and Shizu & Riku.
19
20
Character Pickup Scouts
21
22
#REF!
23
24
These banners allow you to focus on pulling a specific character. The scouting rate for that particular unit is slightly increased and you are guaranteed to pull the unit on your 5th Multi.
25
26
However, these banners include every released 4 star unit in the game. While the rate of the featured unit is slightly higher so you have a better chance of getting them, you can still pull any of the dozens of 4 star units that are already released. Plus, you are only guaranteed to get the one 4 star featured unit on your 5th pull. Anything beyond that is just the regular chances, with a slight boost for the featured unit, in this case Bath Ais.
27
28
For reference, the chance of getting a 4 star adventurer is 2% and the chance for getting a 4 star Assist is 1%. I’ll explain those terms in a bit.
29
30
Anyway, what you want to do when starting out is gather enough Iris through Bell’s Story mode to do all 10 pulls on one of the 1/4/7/10 banners. This gives you the most guaranteed 4 star pulls, and the most dupes, which are actually very valuable in this game. Dupes allow you to limit break your characters, increasing their max level by 4 and dramatically increasing their stats. The max level in this game (as of right now) is level 80, while the max level with no dupes is only level 60.
31
32
It is worth noting that one limit broken 4 star unit is much more useful than three non-limit broken 4 star units in this game. Quality over quantity. In addition, while you can upgrade 3 star units to level 80 as well, they are generally not worth the resources. Their maxed stats might be slightly higher than a non-limit broken 4 star, but unless they provide some extra utility in their skill set, you are better off focusing on your 4 star units first.
33
34
The only thing is, you should make sure the banner you pull all 10 steps on has good units, so either refer to the most recent tier list or ask around for other people’s opinions. I will not include a reroll guide here, but it is the standard type of rerolling that anyone familiar with such games should know. The most basic (and safe) way is to uninstall and reinstall the app on mobile. Then you can aim for your desired 4 star units if you so choose.

Status Board
37
38
The next most important thing is to learn how to upgrade your characters’ Status Boards. Rather than your character’s stats being determined by their level, they are determined by how many slots you have unlocked on their board.
39
40
You unlock these stats by using Falna, items that are obtainable through many sources, but most efficiently through Falna quests, as shown in the following screenshots.

These quests will be your friend. Each day, two Falna quests will be unlocked and you can farm them as much as you want. On Sundays, all of them will be unlocked, so it is best to farm everything you need.
46
47
Also, on Tuesday of each week, you will automatically receive a free Falna key, which increases the drop rate of Hero Falna, a rare item that lets you fill out the later portions of your Status Boards. This only works on Falna quests, and lasts for 30 minutes, so use it as much as possible.

The images above show the Falna keys you receive each week, as well as the Hero Falna which you will need to fill out your Status Boards.
53
Remember, always fill out your Status Boards! They are the key to your success.

Evaluating Units
56
57
You can always ask how good a unit is, but why not check for yourself?

Just look in your Album to see a list of all available units, from Adventurers to Assists. Adventurers are the actual characters you bring in to battle. They have their own battle skills and stat distributions. Meanwhile, Assists are essentially the same as equips that add their own stats to the stats of the adventurer they are paired with, and they also have a skill that activates at the start of any battle.
63
64
Anyway, the Album lets you see the max stats and abilities of all adventurers and assists at different levels of limit break.

68
We generally like to judge characters by their stats at max limit break, because that’s our ultimate goal. SS tier shows what stats they really specialize in.

71
72
Meanwhile, Status lets you see their moves and abilities. For moves, they can be categorized according to strength: Lo, Mid, and Hi. For good units, you generally want them to have either Mid or Hi, with the exception of healers.
73
74
Also, the best attack moves in the game right now are moves that say [Foes] rather than [Foe], because it means you attack all enemies (AoE), not just one (single target).
75
76
Also, just to clarify the stats. Strength increases the power of your physical attacks, while Magic increases the power of your magic attacks. Agility increases your speed, which may let you act first, depending on a few other factors. Action speed is determined by Agility, move type, and a slight random variation to account for speed ties. Moves like buffs tend to go first, then physical attacks, followed by magic attacks. However, my physical attacks will go before my opponent's if my Agility stat is much higher than theirs. Dex increases the rate that your character will counterattack after receiving a hit. Endurance means more HP and defense.
77
78
The final basic piece of advice are Assists. You equip them to a unit, and that unit gains their stats. So a unit that specializes in Strength will want an Assist with a lot of Strength. Assists also come with abilities that activate at the start of battle, so always choose which ones you want for any specific battle (for instance, sometimes you need ailment resist, sometimes physical or magic resist, etc.).

83
Look at this Hestia, for instance. She reduces the Strength of all foes by 15%, which is really good. She also has a great Magic stat, so you will want to put her on a magic attacker if possible.
84
85
Teambuilding
86
87
When forming a party, there are many important factors to consider: whether you want it to be mainly physical, magical, balanced, etc. But my main piece of advice here is to invest in a healer! Healers are essential in the tough battles ahead. The best 4 star healers at the time of this guide are Fels, Riveria, Chigusa, and Photo. Any other healer (even 3 star healers like Liliruca and Riveria) will be okay until you get one of those, but you definitely need some form of healing.
88
89
Also, when building your team, remember this. When you have an Assist buff your party, the same buff will not stack with one of the same type.
90

93
94
Take these two Assists, for instance. Only the larger of their Strength buffs will be active, so Hestia's 10% Strength buff will win out
95
So Assist buffs/debuffs don’t stack with each other. But do they stack with Adventurer move buffs and debuffs?
96

98
99
The answer is YES. My Chigusa will buff the party, and it WILL stack with Ti’s or Hestia’s buff.

Another important point in teambuilding is that you can’t have more than one of the same character in your party. For example, if I put this Chigusa in my party, I can’t put another Chigusa unit in there as well (even in my Sub team). I either have to replace her or not use the other Chigusa.
