3/25/2020 10:20:02Western UniversitySchulich School of Medicine and DentistryBachelors of Medical Sciences, Honours Specialization in One HealthThe specialization starts in third year with epidemiology, human pathology, comparative pathology, microbiology, environmental sciences and One Health courses (AMR, Zoonotic disease, Asthma and One Health, Climate Change...) with lecturers from various different fields. One course focuses on implementation of One Health; lecture topics include policy, ethics and case studies on One Health interventions. This course includes a project where the class is split into groups of 4 and are given a health issue to come up with a solution to using a One Health approach. In the process of developing the solution, each group goes through numerous steps in a simulated funding proposal.
