79	St Marys Gardening Group	FL	-	G	F								A group of residents from the St Marys Flats on Chapeltown road who have come together to create a large space for gardening on a long locked up and neglected, large roof garden (28mtrs x 16mtrs), which was created when the flats were built. The group have permission from LYHA to garden on the site, and we are slowly creating the garden. We have special problems as we are not allowed to dig into the earth already on the site, and have to create raised beds, meaning that everything has to be delivered onto the roof! This has taken a lot of resources. We aim to grow plenty of organic vegetables as well as flowers, and aim to create the site so as to encourage all beneficial insect life. The group is open to residents of the St Marys Flats, and anyone in the area who may be interested in the project" Contact Janet Zaddisa
