2	We join in accompanying and supporting the 40-day fast of Mairead Maguire for the children of Gaza. Mairead is a Noble Peace Prize laureate and member of the Advisory Council of Pax Christi’s Catholic Institute for Nonviolence.

4	It is a nonviolent protest, a means of resistance against injustice, and a powerful form of prayer that shifts focus away from physical needs toward spiritual nourishment.
