PURPOSE: To confirm that the horse demonstrates correct basics, is supple and moves freely forward in a clear rhythm with a steady tempo, accepting contact with the bit. All trot work may be ridden sitting or rising, unless stated. Halts may be through the walk.RIDER #10058Link:

Enter working trot

Halt, salute
Proceed working trot
Regularity and quality of trot; willing, calm transitions; straightness; attentiveness; immobility (min. 3 seconds55very unsettled at halt and mever actually immobile. you entered from the right on all 3 tests and overshot the CL each time- maybe try the entry from left rein and see if it is easier to make that teun?

H-X-K
Track left

Slightly after H begin a single loop to X returning to the track slightly before K
Regularity and quality of trot; bend and balance in turns; shape and size of loop; changes of bend; balance6212fighting connection and braced back, not truly bending- more like a leg yield and horse is almost counter bent at X- look at diagram on test sheet to see how better to ride this difficult movement
12
3Between A & FWorking canter left leadWilling, calm transition; regularity and quality of gaits; bend in corner; straightness66runs into canter- prepare him better so that he sits into transition. flies off rail through turn which tells me that you steered through the turn with a strong rein aid without the support of your leg
13
4BCircle left 20mRegularity and quality of canter; shape and size of circle; bend; balance66steady tempo but horse's back is very tight making it more difficult for rider to sit. try to keep your seat more relaxed and "allow" it to go with the movement rather than trying to restrict as this makes back tighter *lovely GSD!*

Change rein

Working trot
Regularity and quality of gaits; willing, calm transition; straightness; bend in corner66obedient but braced- very poor geometry- coming out of the corner late so line is not correct and transition is pastX

H
Free walk

Medium walk
Regularity and quality of walks; reach, overtrack, and ground cover of free walk allowing complete freedom to stretch the neck forward and downward; straightness; willing, calm transitions6212needs longer reins/strides/stretch, slower tempo

Working Trot

Slightly after M begin a single loop to X returning to the track slightly before F
Regularity and quality of trot; shape and size of loop; changes of bend and balance5.5211late to trot and lacking honest bend- leg yieldin rather than bending, bracing with every attempt to change bend
18
9Between A & KWorking canter right leadWilling, calm transition; regularity and quality of gaits; bend and balance in corner; straightness66on aids into canter but then counter bent and hollow in back on long side
19
10ECircle right 20mRegularity and quality of canter; shape and size of circle; bend; balance66good control of outside shoulder, circle needs to be better centered around X- you came off the rail and did not push circle out as needed
20
11CWorking trotWilling, calm transition; regularity and quality of trot66counterbent and a little past A, counterbent and rushed in corner, riders very forward in upper body

B
Circle right 20m in rising trot allowing the horse to stretch forward and downward

Shorten the reins

Working trot
Forward and downward stretch over the back into a light contact, maintaining balance and quality of trot; bend; shape and size of circle; willing, calm transitions6212I would like this frame for the test and tehn much more stretch forward and down for this movmenet. try not to lean forward and keep hands from becoming wide

Many accuracy mistakes in this test bring the score down. I loved the trot you had in the 2 circles before you came down centerline! I'd like to see you reproduce that level of relaxation in the test.
