School Project Summary Sheets

1. Retain a copy before the solid black line/column to use as a "Master".

2. There are formulas that refer to the solid black line, so all new projects need to be entered to the left of it.

3. Copy an existing "master" and insert it to the left of the black line/column

a. By copying the existing, the formulas will be retained as will the hyperlinks

4. Define the name of the new project to use for a new hyperlink on the summary page

a. Right Click on the Project Number

b. Choose "Define Name"

Summary

1. Copy the row above the Gray row to insert a new project. The gray row is used in the total formula so anything above it will be included

2. Change the cell reference of the project number and description to be the correct corresponding cells

3. Edit the hyperlink to refer to the new project's number (#4 form above)

Notes:

1. All cells that are in BLUE font should be reviewed for entry

2. All cells with a BLACK font contain the standard formulas

3. Estimated Construction Dates on the project Summary Sheets MUST BE July 1 of the desired year for formulas to work.

4. There should be no entry needed on the Summary Sheet except the District Pieces, everything else is a formula or is linked

5. Spell check your entries

6. Do not merge cells - adjust your row heights or center across a selection. Merging makes it difficult to copy and insert

a. Select cells you want to center across

b. Right Click

c. Choose Format Cells

d. Choose the Alignment Tab

e. Select Center Across under the Horizontal Options

7. Consider the costs for Testing/Inspections and Advertising. The standard value of $500 may not be enough so some larger projects

8. Unused projects should have NO expenses in them
