Executuve Summary
Engage larger community/school community in the merger process.How will you educate the community on what has been done and what is being done? How will you reach out to tuition communities? How will you get feedback from the communities? Can the PTOs meet together? Can there be an "official" social media presence (with set expectations)?Please plan an event for parents to learn about courses. There should also be a middle school parent night and meal in April.

Transportation: Andra Bowen Next Meeting March 8 2pm BethelTo find the best way to transport our students to school. This involves evaluating bus routes, proposing a transportation plan for all students and transportation for choice students.What will be our start and end times? ANSWER:  To be determined.  We are looking at two tiered pick up- picking up elementray 1st and then middle high school second or visa versa.

Create a coordinated prevention based system that addresses ss needs tier 1 through 3 and uses team-driven data-based problem solving. What is MTSSB..can you create a parent friendly document?  ANSWER:  Absolutly  good idea.  Will do eventually.

Curriculum: Mary Ellen next meeting 2/7Bring school teachers together to align curriuclum. Use proficeincy work as the basis for curriculum decisions as stated in the strategic plan.Will there be Gateway/Senior project? What will Teacher advisory look like? Lisa Floyd is a good resource. Can you come up with a way/tool to guage student interest in electives so student interest is considered when planning new courses - but also guage student interest on electives that current faculty are interested in offering?Will the program of studies be ready by 2/9 for the HS student gathering? If not, when will it be offered?Will there be Gateway/Senior project? Can We change the name of "specials"?

Scheduling: Mary Ellen Simmons next meeting 2/9Make recommendations on day to day bell schedule. Working in a collaborative way this committee will assist with building the master schedule. Where will teacher advisory fit in the schedule?

Counselors: Mary Ellen next meeting 2/19Develop PK-12 Counseling Program. Hire consultant to help? Look at college matriculation data and target interventions to support students going to college. Be intentional about how Counselors, SAP, and support positions are definied and what we need.How will teacher advisory program work?

Food Service: Owen - WRVSU COMake recommendations for changes that are better for the food service program. Coordinate resources and program planning in an equitable manner. When will you produce ONE menu for both campuses? When will ONE person be in charge of ordering for both campuses? When will you have an inventory of each kitchen?Is there an equipment replacement plan? Is there a cleaning schedule/checklist? What are the behavior expectations in the cafeteria? What's the lunch duty persons job and when are they trained?When will the meal schedule be finalized (breakfast, snack, lunch & dinner)? Will the schedule be the same on both campuses?Are you reviewing the wellness policy and the health curriculum? Is the kitchen being viewed as an extension of the classroom? (kids learning and kitchen staff go in to classrooms)What's the policy on Free & Reduced Meals? How is that information collected? Is there a lead person in each building? Will there be an opportunity for a later meal/snack to accommodate the athletes and clubs? (5:00 p.m.)

Create procedures required by policy and to create new handbook.Bethel has a facilities use form.  This should be looked at and we should merge that and what So Ro uses.Need to look at the Transportation sectiond for both handbooks and merge them. This should go in the new merged handbook.
