3 | The treasure hunt event is a passive event. There is no quest or location. You either need to hunt 'Treasure Hunter' mole miners or by buying empty pails at vendor bots and crafting the pails at a tinker's workbench. | To acquire crafted pails, all of the faction-based vendor bots sell empty pails in 3 tiers (in the Misc section) which are used to make the 3 tiers of pails. Each vendor has 1 of each pail. You craft the pails at the tinker's workbench under 'CHESTS'. To be clear, you are not using your own loot to fill the pails but they do take a decent amount of steel, screws, springs, silver, and gold to craft. They randomly drop the stuff below when consumed from the Aid tab in the pipboy. Neither Super Duper nor the Chemist perk work when crafting these. | To acquire the regular pails, go to where enemies randomly spawn in the region Bethesda has designated for the event and there is a chance for some of them to spawn as a Treasure Hunter mole miner instead of one of the other mob types. They will be wearing big backpacks and will make a static sound like a radio being tuned in and are also legendary. They also have a tendency to run away from you. They have a chance of dropping one of the 3 tiers of pails. Consume the pails from the aid tab. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
