Student ObjectivesStudents will practice forming parts of 10 by writing equations and placing objects under each equation to represent the parts of 10.Students will learn about how Jesus walked on water. Then, they will create a "storm in a bottle" and experiment with objects that sink or float inside.Students will practice the 3 sounds that the letter X makes in Spanish. They will make 3 columns on a sheet of paper, one column for each sound of X. Then, they will write 6 words that contain "x" in the correct column depending on the sound the "x" makes. (Hint: there will be 2 words in each column!)Students will go over the difference between fact and opinion. They will divide a paper into 2 halves and complete the following sentence for each half: "A mí me gusta ____ porque..." (They should have a word in the blank and should write a reason why they like something better than the other.)Students will practice the parts of 10 by identifying the unknown part. They will make "Math Mountain" drawings and complete each part to make 10. (Note: some kids may need help drawing these. Please see minute 10:45 if you'd like to help set your child up with the worksheet they'll finish.)Students will learn about the parable of the house built on the rock and the house built on the sand. Then, they will construct their own strong house on a rock! As an optional enrichment activity, they may use the Bible App (see link below) and listen to the story (instructions are in my video).Students will practice using "es" and "son" in context for singular and plural nouns. Then, they will complete a grammar sort by cutting and pasting sentences and sorting them by singular and plural. Students will practice sharing their opinion using the word "porque" (because). We will look at some pictures together, then your child will complete a book about some of his/her favorite things.
