5/21/2010 0:10:49The best way to bring virtual guest speakers into the classroom - skype, elluminate etc.? The preparation that needs to be done to ensure things go well, how to run things in terms of question period and interaction. A very general suggestion but something I find very interesting. mcfarljo

5/21/2010 18:08:22Moving teachers along the implementation of ICT into the classroom. How do you engage uninterested teachers? I just ran a Teacher Training day while the feedback is good. Getting teachers to connect is still hard.http://shcmac.wordpress.com/2010/05/15/analysing-teachers-survey-responses/@jamesmaitland

7/17/2010 11:08:03Get the alternative perspective! Check out writers/thinkers like Jerry Mander and let's dig in to what Marshal Macluhan has really saying. His name got tossed around a lot at BLC10 but "the medium is the message" isn't necessarily something that would support globalizing education!

Putting EdTech ideas up against these viewpoints would truly strengthen our moves to reevaluate and bring revolution to the current system.

Thanks for asking.

For an idea about Jerry Mander:

10/14/2010 15:55:07Would love to hear you guys talk about Creative Commons, esp the commercial vs non-commercial and the human right to "make a living". So, for example, you share your podcasts under the Attribution Noncommercial (3.0) - if someone in a country with low or no-connectivity would like to use your podcasts with teachers in the country and has to burn them onto a DVD to distribute them, then should they have the right to re-coup the cost of the disc, their time to burn it, and the transport costs??? It's a sticky one :-)Hazel Owen / howen / hazelowendmc
