This site was very helpful because it showed a lot of examples with different ion compounds so that they really made sure that you understand each section and how to write each name and formula. It showed hints for identifying monatomic ions and an except with cyanide.
26
2/19/2021 13:33:58BPhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apmiikhKML0
This video is helpful because it starts with the basic information of acids and how to recognize when it is and acid. It then goes on to explain how to name and identify acids by the step by step process, and it reiterates past learned ideas like poly-atomic atoms.

2/20/2021 18:26:24S.A.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-9YXVCK8aw
I thought this video was good because it wasn't too long and the teacher goes through each situation individually for naming and then for writing formulas instead of just presenting the info all at once like you would see on a website typically. I also liked that she showed exceptions for the "rules" and that she went through example problems for a lot of them. She also gives you all of the binary acids so you can write them down for future reference! The only thing I would say might be more helpful is a site or video that also shows what to do with a polyatomic ion that ends in -ide, but I couldn't find one.

I think my site is better than others because it breaks down how acids are named as well as showing tables with examples, It also goes into depth on what an anion is, and how that names an acid.

This video is more helpful than others because it lays out the process of forming and naming acids simply. The video provides numerous explanations, charts, practice, and examples of the subject. The man/instructor in the video slowly and thoroughly explains and works through the examples. Much like a Khan Academy video, the instructor walks through each step and represents the problems in a way that is easy to comprehend.

This video was helpful because it included everything I needed to know. It showed how to name the formula and thoroughly explained how the stem stays, but the ending changed. In the video he gave several examples of giving a formula and showing how to name it and allowing you to solve it on your own. But he also did it the other way, he explained how to write the formula from the name. And made sure to cover every type of acid (Ic, ous, and hydro + ic). After watching this video I feel confident and comfortable with trying to tackle acidic ionic compounds. That's why I found it helpful, I'm left with no questions.
