Tostipedia: SM64DS Glitch Documentation
2
This spreadsheet which I have decided to entitle Tostipedia, has the goal of documenting all known glitches in sm64ds, as all previously existing glitch lists were outdated, incomplete, or had very strange inclusions which couldn't even be considered glitches. The original version of this was created simply from all glitches I could think of, and all that I found while searching through various other glitch lists. When making this it was also hard to determine what did and didn't count as its own glitch, or as a glitch at all. Generally, I considered a glitch to be a certain flaw in the game, and each distinct method of seeing and using it, but not simply each location a glitch could be used. For example, for heaven's portals I created seperate descriptions for those activated by slide kicking into corners and those activated by cannons, but not seperate descriptions for the heaven's portal used in moat skip and the heaven's portal done by slide kicking down a slope in BOB, as they are fundamentally the same glitch. At times, such as with types of star cancels, this borderlines on just explaining details of glitchy mechanics, but the main goal of this spreadsheet is not to state every distinct glitch, more just to give most known information about glitches in this game.

If you know of a glitch not included on the spreadsheet, or any other missing information about currently existing glitches on the spreadsheet, feel free to share it in #glitch-hunting of the SM64DS speedrunning discord (https://discord.gg/G8KWjnTAfF), though this does not guarantee that the information will be added, or that you will be credited as the discoverer of the glitch, as it may have just been forgotten, instead of a new discovery.
4
This spreadsheet uses many abbreviations for stage names. There is a sheet which shows what each abbreviation stands for if you don't know.
5
To help make finding a glitch you are looking for faster and easier, I divided the glitch list into several catagories. You can also use Control+F to find keywords within sheets and find a glitch. These are the catagories, with descriptions of the glitches within. Keep in mind that many glitches could fit into multiple groups, so I had to decide which I thought it would best fit, so if you cannot find a glitch try checking the full glitch list.
6
Geometry-Related Glitches: Any glitches which are possible because of unique or moving level geometry. The most common kind of glitch here is clips caused by badly made geometry, but there are also others.
7
Camera Glitches: There are two main kinds of glitches here: Glitches where you manipulate the camera to unload objects, and glitches which cause the camera to behave strangely.
8
Yoshi: Yoshi is by far the most broken character in this game, and his eating function can be broken and exploited in nearly every way possible. These kinds of glitches are contained here.
9
NPC and enemy related glitches: There are many ways interactable npcs and enemies can be exploited and broken, which are contained here.
10
Hyperspeed Glitches: There are various glitches which allow you to build up massive amounts of speed, which are contained here.
11
Teleporting Objects Related Glitches: Teleporting Objects is a glitch/mechanic in which you can interact with objects through walls because of the way collision is calculated within the frame, which allows many glitches, shown here.
12
Miscellaneous: Many glitches, from walking underwater to game crashes, don't fit into any other obvious category, so are shown here.
13
*Even if a glitch is exclusive to yoshi, if it obviously fits into another category, it will go in that category. For example teleporting objects with a bobomb would go into teleporting objects, as it is more related to that than yoshi.
14
*Clips will be considered Geometry based if it uses an enemy with actual collision triangles such as king whomp and tox boxes. Enemy related glitches are only when it is a normal enemy without wall-like collision.
