4/12/2023 10:48:43David Penn This Friday is the Day of Silence and this is the anniversary of the 1993 March on Washington where LGBTQIA activists marched on Washington DC to protest the silence of the government on the persecution of the LGBTQIA community and their silence on the AIDS crisis. To celebrate this momentous occasion, many LGBTQIA students and allies reclaim the power of silence by taking a vow of silence (to varying degrees of silence). To demonstrate unity as a school to stand up against the current silence students and trans members in the US are facing we invite all students to participate in the day of silence this Friday and during lunch on Friday we will break our silence room 906! Students who are planning to participate are encouraged to speak about accomodations with teachers ahead of time.4/14/2023
