Instructions for completing the Ideation Grant Budget Template

Download a the template on your computer or make a copy before filling in your project budget

1In row 2 of the Excel worksheet type in the name of your project in the space that says, "Type the Title of Your Project In this Space".

2Review your grant and add in items for purchase under Column B within the appropriate category. Please consult with your bookkeeper to assist with including project items within the proper category.

The categories are:
• Professional/Contracted Services,
• Supplies & Materials,
• Other Operating Costs, and
• Capital Outlay.

3Include detail or calculations for multiple item costs under Column C within the appropriate category. Be sure you are using an approved vendor when researching items within your project budget.

4Column D will calculate your input in the blue areas. You do not need to do anything within the gray areas.

5Column E will calculate a grant total at the end of the budget. This is your total grant request costs.

6Also use Column E totals per each category include in the budget information areas. If you are not including costs in a category leave the zeros in so that the form can calculate properly.

7Save frequently as you complete your budget. When finished upload the budget into your grant application in the appropriate area.
