The Frank Sorrenti Memorial Clovis FFA Scholarship was established in 2023 to honor Frank Sorrenti, a lifelong
51
Clovis/Fresno resident and farmer. Frank passed away in May of 2022. Although Frank grew up working in his
52
family's stone fruit orchards, he eventually decided to grow and harvest almonds for the remainder of his life.
53
Many would say, Frank's work ethic surpassed those half his age. If Frank was not busy at work, you could
54
find him duck hunting, fishing or helping a friend or family member. Frank was a Clovis FFA member, later
55
encouraging his three children and grandchildren to participate in the program. For many years, Frank served
56
on the Clovis FFA Advisory Board and also helped establish the pasture at the McFarlane-Coffman Agriculture
57
Center located on the of Clovis East High School campus.
