Box TopCreates an annual goal, coordinate monthly raffles to boost family donations of Box tops from the app or cut out from grocery. Send monthly reminders to via Facebook or flyers to encourage family participation.Sepetember - June10 hours

Dine OutsSchedule and plan monthly/bimonthly restaurants nights throughout the school year. Create flyers and communicate on PTA social media channels or student communication folders. Collect funds raised and submit to treasurer. Report out calendar and funds raised during monthly PTA chat.August - June10 hours

End of the Year PartyThis committee organizes an annual picnic to occur at the end of every school year (June) , a fun-filled day that includes food, games, and raffles with each school class running a booth or activity. Pick the theme and recruit volunteers. Submit Facilities request form for approval at least 2 months prior to event as required by school board. March - June20 hours

Fall Family Fun NightChairperson and committee plan the Fall Family event which is an event where children trick or treat in the parking lot and then move inside the school for games, crafts, storytelling, book tricky tray, etc.   Committee plans games, food, craft/activities, ticket/voting distribution, pumpkin decorating, Mad Science experiment table, music, costume contest, etc., and recruits & organizes volunteers. Submit Facilities request form for approval at least 2 months prior to event as required by school board. August- October20 hours

Field DayChairperson coordinates field day events with Physical Ed teacher and PTA board for purchases (field day t-shirts, ice pops/ice cream, water and orange slices), work with parent volunteers to help during event to allow this fun-filled game day to run smoothly. April - May10 hours

Fifth GradeCoordinate the celebration on the last day of school which includes planning a class picnic, outing, group photo, and etc. Will also be responsible for coordinating and planning fifth grade t-shirts. Many volunteers will be needed. (Committee responsibilities run year-long)August - June20 hours

Holiday ShopChairperson works with a vendor for our children to shop for their loved ones during our annual holiday boutique. Parent volunteers needed to setup/break down delivery, help children shop, and checkout sales.This event is conducted during school hours. MembershipReview and Plan membership drives according to Membership Awards and deadlines. Collect, count, and deposit money with Treasurer. Generate a monthly report of new members to be shared at month PTA meeting. Create membership flyers and announcements. September - November8 hours

NominatingAt least 3 parent volunteers are needed to build the future PTA. This committee will promote open PTA board positions, collect ballot, present recommendations to PTA e-board. Positions are voted on at PTA monthly chat. March - May (every two years)4 hours

ReflectionsThe program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Students in preschool through grade 12 are encouraged to create and submit works of art in six areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and the visual arts (which include art forms such as drawing, painting, print making, and collage). Students participate in the Reflections Program by submitting entries to their local PTA or PTSA. Any PTA/PTSA in good standing is eligible to sponsor a Reflections Program. The top four winners in each category and age group continue on to the county level.September - December5 hours

Room ParentCoordinate classroom celebrations such as Fall, Winter and Spring. Point person to promote PTA events within their class. Works closely with the class teacher and an important communication link between the PTA and the class families. Chairperson would be responsible for recruiting and assigning parents for each k-5 class for the school year. Sends out communications and manager Room parent activities throughout the school year. Sepetember - June20 hours

Scholastic Book FairChairperson works with a representative from Scholastic to plan the Book Fairs.  Three book fairs take place during the school year (1 in the Fall and 1 in the Winter and 1 in Spring). Recruit Parent volunteers help setup/break down the book fair displays, help children shop, and manage classroom schedule and checkout sales. • Prior to each book fair, coordinate with PTA Treasurer to obtain petty cash and deposit daily sales to school. Submit Facilities request form for approval at least 2 months prior to event as required by school board. November - May20 hours

Spirit WearDesign and order school spirit wear items. Work with vendor to create and design. Create flyers and communicate on PTA social media channels or student communication folders. Fill incoming orders placed through our online system and facilitate the delivery of items/orders to students/families. Fall and Spring (2 sales a year)10 hours

School Dance/ Student SocialYearly dance conducted for all students that can be held inside or outside. Work to secure vendors such as DJ and obtain possible donations. Plan activities, theme and recruit volunteers as this event is held after school hours. Submit Facilities request form for approval at least 2 months prior to event as required by school board. April - May25 hours

Teacher Appreciation Week (TAW)Coordinates volunteers for May Teacher Appreciation Week. Plans and coordinates the May activities with volunteers. Determine theme and recruit volunteers to support weekly activities. Solicit support and donations from external vendors. March - May20 hours

Trenton Thunder Family NightWork with Trenton Thunder front office staff to obtain tickets and confirm date for family night during their Spring season. Identify opportunities to conduct 50/50 and possibly have our band or chorus perform during the game. Create flyer and share on social media to have families purchase for the event. Work with PTA treasurer to deposit all ticket sale funds. September - May5 hours
