8 | 1. Once inside the Capitol, connect to the wifi network Public-Capitol. | |||||||
9 | 2. Open a web browser on your iPad and go to: http://hwrs.house.state.tx.us to access registration for House committees. Go to http://swrs.senate.state.tx.us for Senate committees. | |||||||
10 | Note: Some Senate committees sometimes require in-person registration which can be found in the room indicated on the Committee Bill List. | |||||||

13 | 1. Locate a touch screen kiosk station in the Capitol Extension (floors E1 and E2) | |||||||
14 | 2. On floor E1, kiosks are located in the hallways behind the committee rooms on the west side of the floor, nearest the E1.200 - E1.500 hallways. | |||||||
15 | 3. On floor E2, kiosks are located in the hallways behind the committee rooms on the east and west sides. | |||||||

17 | WITNESS REGISTRATION | |||||||
18 | 1. Tap “Begin” on the bottom right and tap “Select” to select a committee hearing to register a position on a bill listed on the committee agenda. | |||||||
19 | 2. Tap “Register” and register your position on an agenda item by using the radio buttons to indicate your position on a bill, and whether or not you would like to testify. | |||||||
20 | 3. Repeat step 2 for all bills you would like to register a position on. | |||||||
21 | 4. Once you have registered a position on every bill you intended to, select “Next.” | |||||||
22 | 5. Select the “Yes” or “No” radio button to indicate if you represent a group, organization, agency or governmental entity. Depending on your selection you will be asked to provide additional information. Once you’ve completed the additional information, tap “Next.” | |||||||
23 | 6. Enter your contact information then tap “Next.” | |||||||
24 | 7. Verify that all information is correct in the Acknowledgement screen. If so, click the check box on the disclaimer and then click “Finish.” | |||||||
25 | NOTE: We encourage you to register to register a position on every bill, even if it’s neutral, and to register to testify on a bill even if you can’t stay the entire time. | |||||||
