+ The effects used during the refrains are stylish and engaging
+ Internal fan sync at the beginning
+ Dark, moody atmosphere
- The video just kind of...trails off at the end
- Brown border effect at 1:15 is distracting
- Some sections are paced a bit slow imo, like the "dark star" section
+ I loved the incorporation of live footage
+ fit with the song very well
+ good mixing
- the weird bars that show up on the top and bottom of the screen in that one segment.
- vague negative comment because yue demands three things
- you look better in t-shirts than I do
+ Great first half of the video
+ Good mood/atmosphere
+ Interesting choice of source
- The second half of the video felt a bit rushed
- Abrupt Ending
Overall: This was one of the more enjoyable videos to watch. I really liked how well you made the source mesh with the song. The first half was much more enjoyable for me and while I still enjoyed the editing in the second half at times it felt a little static. You ended the video quite suddenly and that made me sad face. :(
+ Great sexy atmosphere
+ Love the first half
+ Effects complements the video well
- Second half was lacking
- Ends suddenly
Really loved how this one started (beyond the grainy fan). The chroma keying effect with the chains on the body complemented the mood well and really added to the fact that we're obviously dealing with a character who has some hidden, really messed up secrets.
The second half however, seems to fall apart. I get that we're shifting focus over to the guy's side of the story but I'm still not totally clear exactly what it is. It apparently involves fire but beyond that I'm at a loss. Then the video suddenly ends without any real resolution to tie up the story you attempted building. Sad ending :(
+Good fitting concept with song. Some really nice internal/beat sync. Interesting use of effects.
-Poor ending. Some badly placed cuts.
This was generally interesting to watch. The concept was pretty easy to see and I especially liked the use of the chain effect with the overlays as it really added to the overall idea of her being "bound" and trapped in her "darkness". Editing on the whole was pretty decent though some cuts did feel a bit badly placed and some scene choices felt a bit static and broke the flow of the video (most noticeably, 0:59-1:01). There's two cuts there and the scene itself is very long but this is a major point in the song where something more dramatic/sharp would have given more impact to the moment. (considering there's a nice beat for syncing there too). Ending was also pretty abrupt and poor and pretty much shouted "I RAN OUT OF TIME", to me that ending felt more like the midway point for a full video so yeah, it felt kinda unfulfilling.
