Keyla was very generous. A medical doctor, infectologist, busy as one could be. And she was there for me when I was ill , mentoring me for living

But she was there for me when I was ill and needed her help, not only as in her job description, but as a mentor in life

Keyla has been my supervisor in 1986. Very generous, she helped me throughout the master's, in all personal crises I needed to face. Since then I have supervised several young women, and mentored beyond the job description, because I learned.

Maria Carolina Nemes was and always will be my mentor, even though she is no longer with us. She taught me to do research like nobody else has ever done. She supervised inumerous students who are equally dedicated to her and respectful to her work.
