3
Main St.69%2no crosswalks (between Frye & Russell), crosswalks not visible, need flashing signal at Main & Frye; crossing at Main & Lincoln: road seems too wide, speeding, crosswalks too long and not visible; Canal & Main: light only on one side, low visibility for cars coming from Main, the turn onto Canal is a slip lane - need ped refuge; Park & Main: speed, crosswalk not visible, signal removed, Middle St. traffic blocks intersection;ped crossing on Main Street at Lisbon: Someone is going to get hurt there. A ped attempting to cross to the north side of Main Street must deal with right turn on red vehicles turning onto Main Street from Lisbon. Drivers are looking left to gauge the distance to oncoming traffic and may miss a ped who is crossing Main Street. Because of the turning lane for vehicles WB on Main Street turning onto Canal Street, the island is narrow and uncomfortable for peds.
