Handbrake and/or wheel chocks must be used on all wheels that are still on the ground.

Power tools usageInjuryPower tool user; anyone standing nearAppropriate PPE should be worn while using power tools. It is up to the tool user's discretion to decide what is appropriate.
The tool use must check that the tool is in a good and safe condition before use.
The tool user must ensure that all other people remain at a safe distance unless they are also wearing appropriate PPE.
Power tools may only be used if there is at least one other club member on the stand.
No welding, grinding, or other tools that may generate hot sparks.

Car fluid systemsChemical spillageAnyone on the standWork may only be done on any fluid system (coolant, engine/gearbox oil, brake/clutch fluid) if the system is drained to at least below the level of the area being worked on.
Fluids should be drained into an appropriate receptacle, and transferred to a sealed container as soon as practicable.
Once draining is completed, the drain must be resealed before any further work is carried out.
Drained fluids should be removed from the site, there is no appropriate fluid disposal available on site.

Solvent useInjury, inhalationAnyone on the standThis concerns the use of any fluid containing a solvent, including but not limited to paint, glue, chemical cleaner, lubricant/penetrating fluid etc.
Appropriate PPE should be used.
Naked flames and other heat sources must be kept well away from solvent use.
The user of the fluid, and other club members working on the stand, should remain vigilant to any perceived build-up of solvent fumes.
If a significant build-up of fumes is perceived, work with that solvent should stop and the container sealed until the fumes have dissipated.

A supply must be maintained, on the stand, of kitchen roll, cloths, and cleaner for this purpose.

Anyone on the standEngine running must only be attempted when a Health & Safety representative from the show organisers is present.
Ensure no-one is standing within 1 meter of the exhaust pipe exits while starting and running the engine.
Ensure no-one is has any part of their body near or over the engine while starting and running the engine.
Ensure the gearbox is in neutral and the handbrake on EVERY TIME before attempting to start the engine.
The engine may be run for a maximum of 60 seconds at a time.

General show rulesAnyone on the standThe following rules are set by the show organisers and must be followed:
Engines must not be started or run while the show is open to the public, other than test starts as detailed above.
Cars must arrive with low fuel levels in the tank, or fuel must be drained for the duration of the show.
Car batteries must be disconnected while the show is open to the public.
