Performance is measurably well beyond the performance standards of the job/skill. The individuals performance markedly serves to improve efficiency and effectiveness at both the individual and departmental/divisional levels. Performance exemplifies the college mission in action at levels far and above what is required and expected. Goals and objectives are exceeded and/or extraordinary assignments are achieved. This level of performance is seen more frequently on individual goals rather than as an overall rating. This level also reflects standards of performance that are unlikely to be sustainable year after year.

Commendable Performer

Performance is consistently and commendably meeting expectations established for the position. Goals and objectives and/or assignments are achieved and clearly advance the mission of the college. This level of performance is what is expected of a fully qualified and experienced person completely accomplishing expectations in their position.

Performance goals and objectives have not been consistently achieved but improvement may be noted and commended. Some skill development, performance improvement, attention to the college mission, and/or corrections are still necessary, and a plan is set in place or next steps within an existing plan are identified.

Unacceptable Performer

Performance is consistently below expectations established for the position and/or tends to demonstrate little support for the college mission. Significant performance improvement and/or correction is necessary. The employee performing with an overall rating of unacceptable performer cannot continue in this position; or, where extenuating circumstances exist, is retained only upon significant improvements within a fixed period of time to be defined by the college.
