My areas of expertise are related to the development of geotourism I have been actively pursuing since May 2007, when the executive director of National Geographic Center for Sustainable Destination's appointed me geotourism liaison for the Tahoe region.

My background and experience as an entrepreneur, fashion designer, manufacturer, marketing director, teacher, corporate story coach and geotourism guide, help me carry, share and coach this mutual vision of a sustainable Tahoe into reality.

I am happy to speak on the 8 key ingredients for developing and sustaining long term prosperity in any region with all interested groups.

Environmental Education, Resource Planning, Stewardship, Tahoe-Truckee Specific, Water IssuesEnvironmental Education, Environmental Policy and Regulations, Resource Planning, Stewardship, Tahoe-Truckee Specific, Water Issues, Wildlife and FishResource Planning, Stewardship, Water IssuesI have experience working with the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure's (ISI) Envision Sustainability Rating System for public infrastructure projects. Envision is similar to what LEED is for buildings. I was part of a project team that prepared the desing and Envision application for the Placer County DPW Snow Creek SEZ Restoration Project in Tahoe Vista. The project was awarded the 1st Platinum Rating through Envision and is the second project to be rated. I would like to discuss the rating system and how it can be applied to local infrastructure projects to make them more sustainable for quality of life, resource allocation, natural world and climate and risk. You can find more information about ISI and Envision on www.sustainableinfrastructure.org.
