What this isVetiver System field evidence from TVNI's practitioner networks — four WhatsApp groups (AW#VETIVER, MUNDO VETIVER, #GVF, VS Ethiopia) and the TVNI Facebook group — converted into 162 graded, citable records. Duplicates between channels have been merged, so each observation appears once.
5
What it is notA record of what practitioners report, graded for confidence. It is not a technical standard. For design and specification, use the TVNI Design Standards: https://vetiver.org/vetiver-grass-technology/design-standards/
6
How to use itStart with 'Record index': row 1 has filters, so you can combine, for example, Class = Failure and Region = Latin America, or Grade = M. Read the full record, with its caveats and follow-up, on the 'Records' sheet. 'Summary' gives the headline findings.
7
Before citingFilter Grade to M (Measured) before citing a figure externally. Cite the record ID, the observer, the grade and the source. Facebook post months marked 'c.' are estimates from feed position; confirm them from the permalink.
8
SheetsSummary · Record index · Records (full text) · Open questions · Findings · Source posts · Contributors · Coverage (live counts) · ID crosswalk · Changelog
9
Record IDsEach record has a permanent VE-#### number that is never reused or renumbered. Three IDs were retired when duplicate records were merged; see 'ID crosswalk'.
10
Flags⚠ AI-derived: content originated as AI output; verify primary sources before citing. ↻ Follow-up open: a question was asked and not answered. Grade under review: a figure conflicts with another source.
11
CautionThese are practitioner reports graded for confidence, not verified research findings. Most observations are uncontrolled.

Evidence grades
15
[M]Measured. Numbers recorded by the observer, method at least partly described. — Citable. State n, control status and confounds.
16
[D]Demonstrated. Repeatedly observed in the field over time, consistent with a known mechanism, not quantified here. — Citable as field experience. Do not attach numbers.
17
[I]Inferred. Plausible mechanism, not established for vetiver specifically. — Flag explicitly as inferred. Candidate for Level 2 research.
18
[R]Reported. Second-hand or relayed account, source not independently verified. — Use only with attribution to the relay. Verify before external use.
19
[X]Contested or unsupported. Circulating without evidence, or contradicted by other observations. — Do not repeat. Listed in §12 so the network can see what is circulating.
20
Status valuesPending (pilot with no results yet) · Planned (not yet installed) · Open (a gap or conflict recorded as a record). Combined grades such as D/M apply when parts of a record differ.
