2/12/2023 8:09:26More than metI don't know what I don't know. lolPracticing after instruction.Nothing was confusing but sometimes too much info was shared that was off topic of what skills we were currently practicing.Just rightOverall is was fantastic. It is a great Blessing to have so many coaches that helped Steve and all of us beginners. I see the future of the club skill level improving because of this coaching.

2/12/2023 8:17:54Yes actually more than I expectedMore drills The basics of tennis and how to improve on every aspectNot really , Just a lot to digest and practice with all coach’s where very good at explaining and answering questions.Pretty much just rightFor me I think doing more drills , I love playing but I think I need to do some drills each week and mix that with playing

2/12/2023 9:18:33somewhatserving, lobbing, retuning lobs, net playImportance of stretching before playing. Volleying drillsSlicing.0ne hour is fine. All coaches on the same page with training, smaller group, participants should be of same skill levels or close to it. If not of close skill levels participants should be evaluated during first lesson to separate into like groups for drills so beginners aren't learning slicing before they perfect their forehand and backhand. Hard to focus on too many new skills at one time. Better to focus on one or two at a time.

2/12/2023 11:36:03Did not necessarily come in with any expectations; however, the lessons were very informative and have helped my game. It is wonderful that the Association can offer lessons/training and that we have individuals willing to volunteer their time.I think each training should be geared to beginners, intermediate and advanced. I realize that is a lot of personal time for the instructors. Maybe instruction could be divided into 15 minute intervals for the different levels; or another instructor could take a different group but only 4 or 5 at a time. It is great we have so much interest in tennis but large groups I think might have deferred some from returning.Warm up excercizes and the full forehand swing from beginning to end. Tried to learn top spin but did not get the concept down, for me it probably would have been better for a one on one.NoJust right- one hour was good especially when you have already played for a couple of hours.See comment above. Another thought is, depending on the time available to the instructors, maybe there could be 3, 6 weeks of training, one right after the other for the different levels.

2/13/2023 10:07:43Yes, it certainly did, but unfortunately I couldn’t attend all the sessions because of different Doctor appointments and pulling a muscle. Overall, Steve and his help did a great job, especially with the diverse group they had.Because I missed some of the sessions, I really can’t answer this. However, they did a nice job in covering the basics of the game including more advanced skills like top spin.Working on my individual weaknesses and bad tennis habits which Steve helped me indentify and hopefully improve. Also thought working with the serving machine was very helpful. Not really. I think they explained them clearly.Just rightPerhaps more time with the machine and more advanced skills would be nice. Overall, they did a great job and it was appreciated! I just hope I can get back on the court again soon and work on my skills! Thanks again! Phil Levy

2/17/2023 10:45:26Yes. For an initial training, Steve and all other leaders did a great job explaining and answering questions. Well doneCourt awareness and partner communication / playing net and back court Because I love playing the net, net volley instruction was great and helpful. A couple of aspects that I had not been using. ThanksNot for me, but may have been a little overwhelming for new players. Overall great instruction and going forward this probably helped recognizing the different levels of players to keep them interested and improving. Duration was a good amount of time fro training session. The freedom to stay longer was also great. Thank you all so much for your time and talent to help all of us improve. You are really appreciatedFor the initial training, it was really good. I am sure if you are willing to continue, grouping training by levels you have determined, will give each group with more specialized skills. Again thank you

2/19/2023 20:19:17Yes, definitely. I really enjoyed the training and analyzing of the different strokes. I also found the info on our website very helpful.I believe some tips on how to do a proper warmup routine on the court with the racket (after stretching, right before playing a game) would be helpful. Most people I play with just hit a few long strokes and then start the game. For me personally the instructions and drills regarding my forehand (which has always been my weakest stroke of the game). Even though I still don't always hit my best possible forehand, I can tell a difference now. One nice side effect is that my tendonitis doesn't flare up that much any more. Following through seems to be the key for that. Not really, but at times there was a little too much information at once, at least for me.One hour was good for me, especially since we had the option of coming early and staying a little longer afterwards to work with the ball machine.Taking videos of our individual strokes would probably be very helpful. A lot of times we are not aware of our mistakes until someone points them out and we actually see them. Also more time on playing (supervised) doubles with comments on stands, tactical tips etc.
