Please ensure that the intended study period and program are clearly confirmed with the applicant before submission.
In case of withdrawal, partner universities must promptly inform Kyushu University, including the reason where possible.
Internships are not arranged through the exchange programs.

Courses NOT Open to Exchange StudentsPractical courses (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Dental Sciences) are not open to exchange students.
Courses offered by Kyushu University Business School (QBS) are available only to exchange students officially enrolled in QBS.
Undergraduate students are not permitted to enroll in graduate-level courses.

Regarding Grade Point Average (GPA)

Kyushu University uses Grade Point Average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for academic evaluation. This scheme, as defined in the table below, is a credit-weighted average of grading points. The minimum requirement of all applicants (for Undergraduate, Graduate program, JTW, and JLCC ) is a GPA 3.2.

Health Insurance (Mandatory)All students are required to enroll in the following three types of health insurance.
Detailed information will be provided after arrival.

1. National Health Insurance (NHI)
Covers approximately 70% of medical expenses

2. Emergency Secure Plan(ESP)
Covers both Inbound Medical Assistance Service and Emergency Expemse Insurance.

3. Personal Accident Insurance (PAS)Gakkensai Insurance
Covers unexpected accidents and injuries that occur during study and research activities within Kyushu University.

📌Additional Recommendation
Students are strongly advised to purchase separate travel insurance.
This covers emergency evacuation and repatriation as these are not included in NHI, ESP or PAS.
