10:00 AMBeginning Rigid Heddle Weaving (Part 1)--Lord Sebastian d'HinnisdaelThis is a very basic, hands-on class for students with little or no prior experience with weaving. In Part 1, Students will be introduced to the warping board and the rigid heddle loom. Students will (1) use a warping board to measure, cut and tame a bundle of warp threads; and (2) tie and wind the warp on a small rigid heddle loom (ten inch weaving width). Warping board, loom, yarn and other supplies are provided. Class limit 5 students--Class fee $5

10:00 AMFibulae I - Intro to the Fibula--Lady Aoife inghean OisinIn this class we will cover a brief history of the fibula and you will will learn to make three styles of basic fibulae. If you have jewelry pliers (round nosed and chain nosed) and cutters, please bring them. Loaner tools will be available for class use. Class fee $1. Class limit 10.

11:00 AMResist Dying--Lady IneaResistance is futile!!! This class will give information on historical dying using "resist", which can be anything from mud to wax. Different types of dying, from shibori to batik, will be discussed in reference to how resist stops certain dyes from reaching the fabric and creating repeating patterns.

11:00 AMInto to drop spinning--M'lady Debbie MeadHave you ever wanted to learn to spin yarn? This class will cover basic spinning terminology, various pieces of spinning equipment and a hands on session on spinning wool. There will be spindles available for either lending or purchase as well as some wool fiber for spinning, so don't worry if you don't have any of the tools! 12:00 PMShibori techniques for Dying--Lady IneaWhat's Shibori? It's a method of dying that creates repeating patterns in fabric. Mainly a Japanese method of resist dying, using folding, spindling (but not mutilating!) that can be utilized for all sorts of geometric patterns!

1:00 PMIntro to tablet weaving--Demetrious of CreteIntroductory class to Tablet Weaving. Class will go over all knowledge needed to read patterns, warp a loom, and begin weaving a piece. With insight into different types of patterns, troubleshooting and common happenings in the beginning of one's weaving experience. Class will be 2-2.5 hours long, the first hour being theory, the latter application of techniques. Participants wishing to have hands on experience should bring an inkle loom, 2 spools each of 2 colors of size 10 crochet cotton, at least 12 4-hole tablet weaving cards and a shuttle.
Note taking supplies are encouraged.

Largesse are small items (often handmade) that are donated to your barony or kingdom to be used as gifts. Anyone can make largesse. You don't have to sew or be the most crafty person on the block! Come to this class for lots of ideas for largesse. We will even make one really simple item in class. If you would only like to make 1, there is a small $2 fee. If  you are willing to make 2 (one for you to keep and one for our baronial largesse) there is no fee for the class!

3:00 PMThrown Weapons 101--Lady Chey Wolf The AmazonSafety and Basic Thrown Weapons 101. Come down to Thrown Weapons Range and learn Safety and how to throw axes, knives and spears. Children age 8 and up are allowed with Parents and/ or Legal Guardian.
You will learn about safety of Thrown Weapons being around weapons and the range. Also learn the basic art of Throwing.
This class is great for people who have never thrown weapons before and for people who would like to become a Thrown Weapons Marshal. Classes will start at 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Youth (Age 10-17 yrs), Adult (18 yrs +)
