Ensemble is a word of French origin which means "AS ONE." This talented ensemble of junior performers breathes life into the meaning of the word with their artistry and service to the greater community while learning to work together with respect, integrity and professionalism. As with all things at JCompany, AS ONE Vocal Ensemble is not only a performance opportunity, but also an educational experience, including work and training in music appreciation, application and theory. Chorale members represent a broad range of singers from students to great grandmothers and retired professionals. The Chorale performs two concerts each year during the spring and winter seasons.

Sight reading ability is required. It is both challenging and satisfying to perform in Master Singers. Performances are held in December, March, and May. Rehearsals are held Monday evenings beginning in late August. We hold mandatory sectional and quartet rehearsals. Repertoire includes all historical style periods, contemporary choral, commissioned works, as well as world music. Recent tours have taken us to Venezuela, South Carolina, Hawaii, Scotland, and Seattle/Vancouver.

The upcoming year will include a concert of music requested by our audiences, the Saint-Saëns Christmas Oratorio with Kirke Mechem's Seven Joys of Christmas, the Beethoven Choral Fantasy (a collaboration with Symphony Napa Valley, St. Helena Chamber Singers, and Napa Valley College Chorale), and a collaborative concert with the Napa Valley Children's Chorus.
