The wrappings themselves are a pleasant bright red, with the cogs being a dark blood red. You seem to have innate knowledge of how to use these things, simply willing another version of yourself into existence! Whenever this is done, a cog disappears from the back of the wrapping. Whenever you rest, the cogs reappear.
