ESLLake ForestLocal Community ServiceEnglish especially (American Accent )English is a key language of business, and a vital tool that benefits children and adults as they attend school, rise from poverty, and access the Word of God. Saddleback’s English as a Foreign Language initiative is equipping and training the local churches of other countries to become life changing centers of learning. Our English outreaches abroad use a 12 lesson curriculum called “Window to the World” and are equipped with starter kits which include a low vocabulary Bible, dictionary, and even a white board and markers to enable anyone to teach English to others.Getting involved can begin right here on our campus at the PEACE center. We have a 4 hour interactive training workshop which prepares the attendees to teach English in our Tuesday and Thursday ESL classes. Helping out at these classes is a good first step to becoming involved globally. Teaching English creates bonds between people of different cultures, its rewarding, and its life changing for not only the students, but also for the instructor. Teaching credentials are preferred for teachers.Became a MemberDeborah Lyondalyon@cox.netCandy Chou

Saddleback WorshipLake ForestWorship Services and EventsAt Saddleback, worship is more than music—it’s a lifestyle that flows from a heart surrendered to Jesus. Every week, across all our campuses, servant-hearted musicians and leaders create space for people to encounter God and respond to His life-giving purpose for their lives. When you join the worship team, you’re not just signing up to sing or play—you’re stepping into a community that values unity, joy, bold faith, and worship that starts long before the weekend. We lead as one, we celebrate what God is doing, and we trust Him to move powerfully through us as we serve.“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11Freddy WashingtonFreddy.Washington@saddleback.comFreddy Washington

Talk It OverLake ForestChurch OperationsYou’ll work in a small team for several hours once a month on the Lake Forest campus after a Saturday 4:00 pm service. Each team member usually works individually to draft a few discussion questions, and then the entire team works together to discuss and edit the final document. The discussion guide is posted immediately on the Church website, and thousands are downloaded every month and used by small groups and individuals around the world.\n \nWe need your help! No special skill or experience is required, but people doing this work usually like expressing thoughts in writing and discussing the Bible. The work is not complicated or stressful, but it is creative and very rewarding because you are helping people change their lives. You are welcome to come any Saturday afternoon to observe the work and decide whether you would like to participate in this ministry.\nCathy Smousecathys@saddlebackvolunteer.comAndrew Obnial
