⚠ Warnings ⚠
28
A few words of warning before diving into buying your first 3D printer to help you not get ripped off.
29
"Auto Bed Leveling" probes such as the BLTouch, Inductive Probes, etc on the listed printers are not that important.
And unlike the name suggests, they are
not capable of actual automatic bed leveling except on specific (expensive) DIY printers.
30
"PTFE-Lined hotends" are hotends with a Teflon tube that sits against the nozzle for corner cutting reasons.
These hotends
cannot be heated over 230°C safely without releasing PTFE fumes (which can kill birds and smaller pets)
Most hotends can be modded to use an
All-Metal Heatbreak which up that limit to 280°C.
Do not print anything but
PLA and low temp PETG on these machines before upgrading.
31
32
Global notes:
33
- The order of the list is completely unrelated to the quality of the printers. The list is just ordered by bedslingers first, then deltas, then cube printers.
- Discontinued and really bad models are all grouped at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
- User submitted mods are welcome, as we simply cannot know all models in perfect detail (some printers on this list barely have any users, let alone ones willing to contribute).
- You can filters to sort by brand, rating, price, or type (carsteian, corexy, delta) : Select the second row and click Data -> Filter views -> Create new temporary filter.
