I would consider her for any co-taught program where she is paired with another teacher. She might need more support to strengthen ideas for residencies/as a roster artist.

She teaches through Wide Angle Youth already and it shows. I would love to see her develop a residency for the roster since I think animation would be

She had great time management and execution of various moving parts to teach an arts integrated lesson with watercolors. She had students explicitly reflect on their learning. Her original idea was a bit too conceptual, but she was receptive to feedback and found innovative ways to connect ELA/Literacy to art. She is at a place to work in residencies or in co-taught spaces.

Cortland he/him/hisTRUETRUE52675TRUE $ 875.00 24-22832TRUE PG https://docs.google.com/document/d/1YZSOJ0yX6BxOpdUIP2VpTGyUpAp75iRu3U0m_SCAT9s/edit?usp=sharing Kristina: Cortland belongs back in the classroom-- he is so inclusive and loving and gets it. He really needs support in the arts integration piece--having a connected objective and assessment that honors both the art form and the content area. I actually think that the residency/enrichment of Springboard will be an excellent way for him to hone in on the arts part and then with additional support get to authentic arts integration.

D'Andre he/him/hisTRUETRUE52676TRUE $ 875.00 24-22832TRUE DC https://docs.google.com/document/d/19tpLf7jqJJLhYTPFAYjdF3dSCr2FJU2lp0d1ehHfTKU/edit Katherine observed D'Andre during Springboard. He's great in the classroom. His lesson was a bot off for the age group he had, but he did a a good job of pivotting to teach at a k/1 level.Lesson was not observed. Katherine debriefed with D'Andre after. He has a good grasp on AI and works with students in Philly, so I suspect he is in decent shape. We made plans to observe him either at Springboard or to plug him in as a guest co-teacher in SALA this summer so we can complete an observation. Teacher partner RAVED after and compared the experience to her EIR experience with Drew Anderson, a very seasoned TA!

Damon they/them/theirsTRUETRUE52677TRUE $ 875.00 24-22832TRUE DC or PG (Felegy) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1z7V0zaauYLOPw2E2a3vVhmPlz5NPp1wHxMM16fjOi1w/edit?usp=sharing Damon is a lovely human! His lesson was not at all arts integrated and it was hard to really tell that he was an artist. His teacher led most of the songwriting part of the lesson. He would benefit from some intensive one on one coaching to get there! It makes me wonder what he does with Civic Circle? My assumption (likely very wrong) was that he was teaching songwriting!

(he runs the maker space at the Pratt Library and has a lot of experience with students) His lesson was a little muddled and timing was way off but he brought in lots of important elements and connects with students and their lives. I think a summerof SALA with a strong parter would get him there. I also think he could do Springboard Enrichment.

She had some hesitation in how to co-teach, but given this was a single lesson, I think she did quite well. She was prepared with a silly pre-written song about making cake that K students could easily plug long-A rhyming words into. She accompanied on the uke, and the students learned long -A, rhyming and parts of a song in the lesson. She has a calm supportive way of interacting with students.

Heather she/her/hersTRUETRUE52680TRUE $ 875.00 24-22832TRUE Baltimore City or DC* Jess- Heather had very high expectations for herself, which made her nervous, but her lesson was great! She worked hard to make sure the lesson was arts-integrated and engaging. The students were able to create original art that showed their understanding of the art and content standards. She did a WONDERFUL job incorporting SEL. She had a warm, caring presence and shared a few things about herself at the beginning that humanized her and set the stage to develop trusting relationships with students. Heather would be a great addition to any A4L program.

She said that it finally "clicked" and she gave a bunch of examples of great ideas of how she would do it differently. I think she would work well in programs if she was partnered with a strong teacher and consistent coaching. She is very coachable! Very open to feedback and suggestions.

Brought movement, SEL practices, and authentic artmaking that connected shapes to emotion in the Pre-K class. I would have liked to see her demo explicit artmaking skills as well. Has ample prior teaching experience. Definitely prepared for programs.

PG/teaches @ Kingsford
Jess- There was so much potential for this pair and lesson. Leilani is an art teacher, but her lesson plan was not well thought out. She also did not get it completed in time for me to give her feedback that she could use to possibly modify the lesson so that it was true arts-integration. While the idea of using loud sounds and soft sounds to show their understanding of place value is a good one, it was not well developed in the lesson and students did not get to use the rhythm sticks or drums like it said. While Leilani has definite potential, I'm not sure if she will be commited to A4L programs at this time.

Would recommend for any position with co-teaching. Had a lot of questions about residencies and what they look like. I believe they would do very well in a residency if given the guidance to create one.

He will need to learn timing and how to design lessons with more participation from all students, but overall he did a great job for a young person just learning this skill. He currently works as a para at Pimlico. A summer as a para at Pimlico will definitly get him there.

Sarah she/her/hersTRUETRUE50811TRUE $ 875.00 24-22832TRUE Baltimore City Violetteville Sarah/Kelley A4L Observation-Feedback Tool 1-2 Cristii-she's very open to suggestions and feedback, was very receptive when explaining glows and grows. seems very dedicated to imporving and very transparent with being nervous but I didn't get that impression when she was teaching. the lesson was more arts enhancement than integration, she agreed. the lesson did not explicitly teach the art form but her idea with creating culturally repsonive and important art empowered the students in their art making. definite potential for growth!

Sean he/him/hisTRUETRUE50794TRUE $ 875.00 24-22994TRUE DC or PG https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BWYQPwpIA64DzyoOYhLPkVfkkXYpHKKKk7xx0Xl5_W4/edit?usp=sharing Mikela- Sean teaches college students, which translated into a lecture-based class with only 5 minutes of independent time(not appropriate for 1st graders). He did, however, have a strong teaching presence (established with great management from his co-teacher) and used some abolitionist based practices with the students. While he seemed open to feedback, there will need to be ample coaching sessions for him to truly understand arts integration. The students did not learn a specific art form, nor did they practice applying any of the vocabulary on light/shadow in critical ways. The students spent the class copying a phases of the moon worksheet without even touching on light/shadow/shading/ positive/negative space.

FALSE Baltimore https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oEL1qWPU74UWdhxEI_8IskilPreE8rZrSMdYkiYVSb0/edit Katherine-Shawn was not able to concieve or write the lesson on her own (Katherine and teacher partner really wrote it) but she has been dedicated to the inperson parts of the TAA, less so with asynch which may show why her lesson writing was lacking. She will need more training in order to do this work. Preethi, please add from your observation Preethi-Shawn struggled to take charge during the lesson and acted more as an aid to the teacher, writing on the board and assisting during indepednant work time while Erika did the majority of the teaching and speaking. Students were engaged in the lesson although they were unable to connect art concepts to core content. Shawn did not integrate math vocab into her portions of the lesson. I think Shawn could use further training in co-teaching models, SEL, and truly understanding arts integration vs. art for arts sake/craft
