Physical Attack: Your projected Physical Attack value (without gemstones) by the time you reach the specified gemstones. For long term calculation make sure you consider the Attribute Points that you're currently missing from prestige rank, future level cap, or trophies.

Weapon Attack: Your projected MINIMUM Weapon Attack value by the time your reach the specified gemstones. For +15 weapons use the +0 minimum attack times 3. This calculator only takes into the account the coefficients for LEGENDARY grade weapons, as that's what everyone would eventually be using by the time they upgrade their gemstones far enough.

External Bonus Attack: The amount of bonus attack that you have from non-gemstone sources such as 40% of your pet's attack or the 3 set Panic effect.

Result: These numbers are what determines the value of the different combinations on your damage. Higher value means higher damage. The combination with the highest value is the most optimal combination in your situation. It is however important to note that certain class passives or skills can tip the scales a little bit in favor of different combinations. An example is Archer's conditioning and bronze eagle skills which makes Dexterity much more valuable than bonus attack and thefore the optimal set-up would be 6 Main stat and 2 offense instead of 5 Main stat and 3 offense.
