This Google Sheet was created by BYU's Office of Research Computing to help prepare for CMMC audits and is being made available for the benefit of other organizations. It is provided as is and could contain transcription errors, bugs, and so forth. When in doubt, always refer to the original publication (https://www.acq.osd.mil/cmmc/).

This view-only version won't function properly until you click "File" and "Make a Copy." Here are eight tips for using this tool:

Tip 1. On the Dashboard, choose the Level of certification your organization is seeking. This varies from Level 1 (Performed) to Level 5 (Optimizing). Once selected, any domain practices that are a higher level than what you are certifying for will become grayed out on their respective sheets.

Tip 2. On the Dashboard, choose the Reference Family you prefer. The CMMC Appendices reference many regulations and frameworks for each practice. This Google Sheet includes those references, but there are too many too cleanly display them all at once. The reference family you select will determine which are displayed next to the practices.

Tip 3. For each practice, choose a Process Maturity Level, ranging from "1: Performed" to "5: Optimizing." Review the CMMC Model for definitions of the different process maturity levels. The number preceding the Process Maturity Level indicates which level it is required for. For example, "1: Performed" is sufficient for Level 1 Certification, but "3: Managed" is required on every practice for Level 3 Certification. This will help you track which practices need attention for things like documentation or metrics.

Tip 4. For each practice, choose a Practice Status of "Not Implemented," "Partially Implemented," or "Fully Implemented." This helps you track progress on the actual integration of practices into your environment.

Tip 5. Make use of the SSP (Notes) section for each practice. This is a good place to reference sections of your organization's System Security Plan or to simply keep notes.

Tip 6. When you mark progress toward completing non-required practices, they are highlighted pink. This helps show where you are exceeding requirements.

Tip 7. The "AC" Domain Sheet is partially filled out as an example.

Tip 8. If you're just looking for an excel sheet of all the CMMC practices, then click the View dropdown menu and unhide the Hidden Sheet named "Practices Catalog." This is also the sheet to modify if you find transcription errors.
