Centro Santa Catalina - MexicoCentro Catalina serves impoverished women and children in the border town of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The Centro provides assistance to meet emergency medical and food needs.

Hands for Haiti - Timanje Food ProgramFood for Kids in Town distributes food to poor children in Verrettes Parish, Haiti. Some of the children helped by the program would otherwise go without eating for days at a time. The food saves their lives and allows them to attend school. Since 2011, the TiManje food program has fed and cared for 70 children annually throughout the year.

MaryKnoll Fathers and Brothers, PeruSanta Maria Home and Misericordia Homer provide shelter, food, healthcare, clothing, and other vital services for abandoned children in Lima, Peru. The homes are supported but the mission work of Maryknoll Father Pete Byrne.

Southside Community KitchenSouthside Community Kitchen serves well-balanced, nourishing lunches to poor, hungry people in our community. The meals are provided at church sites in Lansing. There is no charge for the meals, which are provided four days a week, year-round. The kitchen serves about 11,000 meals every year.

Tarahumara Mission - MexicoVolunteers of America provides shelter, food, and other vital services for homeless persons in our community, including homeless military veterans. Volunteers of AmericaTarahumara Children’s Hospital in Creel, Chihuahua, Mexico, provides lifesaving medical services to malnourished children. The hospital also provides emergency food to the Tarahumara people, who face massive starvation due to drought.

Sisters of the Holy Cross - Lima Prison MinistryThe Sisters of the Holy Cross provide food, healthcare and other vital services for prisoners in Lima, Peru.

Sisters of Holy Cross - MexicoThe Sisters of the Holy Cross serve desperately poor people in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, by providing emergency medical care and other assistance.

Bridges to HealingBridges to Healing is dedicated to providing health care for hundreds of sick, disabled, and chronically ill children living in orphanages in Mexico and Bolivia. Donations are used for the services of nurses working inside the orphanages, and for medications, surgeries, and other health care expenses.

Rayjon - HaitiSacred Heart Center provides emergency food and medication for malnourished children in Cap Haitien, Haiti.

Casa Hogar - Juan Pablo IICasa Hogar Juan Pablo II is a home for orphaned and abandoned children in Lima, Peru and supports international medical missions in the surrounding community. The Casa strives to provide a loving, family atmosphere for orphaned and abandoned children. It is a safe refuge for the children and, for many of them, it is their first real home.

Loaves and Fishes - LansingLoaves and Fishes provides emergency short term housing and advocacy services for homeless men, women and children in our community, and long term transitional housing and advocacy services for single men and for single mothers and their children. They provide shelter for over 500 people.

Casa Aurora - HondurasCasa Aurora, a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, supports impoverished families that include children who are HIV positive or otherwise affected by HIV and AIDS. The Casa provides food, medicine, and compassionate support.

Care Free Medical Dental ClinicSInce 2004, Care Free Medical Clinic has provided primary health care to people in our community who have little or no health insurance. Staffed largely by volunteer health professionals, the clinic strives to provide quality care in a respectful and compassionate environment.

Advent House MinistriesAdvent House Ministries provides vital services to people in our community who are homeless or impoverished. Programs include assisting homeless veterans transition to permanent housing, employment readiness training, literacy services, a weekend day shelter, and meals.

Mother Teresa House, LansingMother Teresa House is a home for terminally ill people in our community. In reverence for the end of life, caregivers surround the dying person with the love of Christ, striving to serve as Mother Teresa did and providing 24 hour care at not charge to the guest.

Tutwiler ClinicTutwiler Clinic has provided comprehensive, vital health care services since 1983 to impoverished people of the Mississippi Delta region, one of the poorest regions of the United States. Services include medical, dental, and optical care; counseling; and health education.

Sisters of Charity of Nazareth - BelizeThe Sisters of Charity of Nazareth provide emergency food and medicine to desperately poor people in Belize, Central America. Their ministry includes outreach to those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Dominican Sisters - PeruThe Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids provide vital services to people living in dire poverty in Chimbote, Peru. Services include an outpatient health clinic, a maternity hospital, neonatal care services, home nursing services, and an orphanage.

Ciudad de los NinosCiudad de los Ninos/City of Children Orphanage is located close to the Unites States/Mexico border in Matamoros, Mexico. In addition to providing desperately needed shelter for children in a safe, loving atmosphere, the orphanage provides the children with medical support and vocational education opportunities. In 2015, the orphanage has changed the lives of approximately 100 children.

Fund for Disabled - NicaraguaThe Fund for the Disabled is part of the ministry of Jesuit Father Joe Mulligan in Nicaragua. Father Mulligan works with Christian base communities and uses the funds to provide vital assistance to desperately poor, disabled people. Those he serves include persons who are blind and paralyzed.

Christ HouseSince 1985, Christ House has provided comprehensive health care for thousands of homeless persons in Washington, DC and assist them in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness. Without the compassionate care and concern of Christ House, the people served would be living on the streets.

Casa MaternaSince 1990, Casa Materna has been providing vital services to help reduce maternal and infant deaths in rural Nicaragua. The Casa has served over 17,000 mothers experiencing high-risk pregnancies.

Manna Community MealManna Community Meal offers soup and sandwiches to three Detroit neighborhoods and housing projects. Most who come are homeless and impoverished. Manna services 150 to 250 people five days a week.

Saint Martin De Porres - BelizeThe St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Martin de Porres Parish in Belize, Central America, provides emergency food and help with medical expenses for impoverished people, including school children and elderly persons.

Pan Y AmorPan Y Amor, which means Bread and Love, provides nutritious food for malnourished children and adults at Maria Reina Parish in LaPaz, Bolivia. The program also provides medical care for persons living in extreme poverty.

Lambi Fund of HaitiSince 1995, Lambi Fund of Haiti has provided funds, training, and technical assistance to Haitian community organizations that are dedicated to improving the lives of the Haitian people. This fund relies on the Haitian people themselves to identify the needs and most effective solutions in each community. The projects in Haiti include installation of irrigation pumps, establishment of an ox-plow service and a goat breeding program, and regional sustainable agriculture training facilities.

Maryville Academy - Crisis Nursery ProgramThe Maryville Crisis Nursery is a program that provides immediate assistant to at-risk families experiencing a destabilizing crisis. Many of the families face daily challenges associated with poverty, homeless, food insecurity, mental and physical illness, and parental stress. The Crisis Nursery provides parents in distress with crisis child care, crisis counseling, parenting education, and referrals to community resources to help them achieve safety and stability.

Sisters of Holy Cross - BrazilThe Brazil mission of the Sisters of the Holy Cross provides emergency food needs of the poor and underserved in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Dominican Sisters of Peace for Jamaican Collaborative Project (White Wing)Funds will be used to provide emergency food and medicine to desperately poor, elderly persons in Kingston, Jamaica. Funds will also be used for a summer program for children living in the violent slums of Kingston, providing food and other services.

Hands Together - HaitiHands Together provides vital services to people living in Haiti's poorest slums. Services include nutrition programs (feeding 9,300 students and 1,200 elderly people daily), Operating Catholic schools, medical outreach, and agricultural and rural development.
