Eighth grade students will be placed into a 9th grade Math class based on their Math grade during the first two trimesters, a district wide performance task and the average of two Smarter Balance Interim Tests.

The Scoring Placement Rubric is below:

A student that receives a score of 80 to 100 or more points or higher will be placed into Geometry.

A student that receives a score between 65 and 79 will be placed into Algebra.

A student that receives a score below 65 will be placed into Bridge to Algebra.
