Board Goal 1: Educational Quality and Student Success
Promote academic excellence and student success with a special focus on closing the opportunity gap.

1.2 Expect and monitor that educational programs are high quality, cost effective, and support student
success, which includes addressing opportunity gaps.

1.3 Monitor and receive updates on accreditation activity related to annual reporting, development of the Institutional Self Evaluation Report, and enhanced monitoring and take actions that lead toward elimination of enhanced monitoring.

1.4 Receive enrollment updates at Student Success and Policies Committee and Board of Trustees meetings
as appropriate.

1.5 Receive reports and engage in conversations with the Board and the Chancellor on the services students receive, including counseling and conditions affecting student learning, such as food insecurity, housing,

1.6 Receive information about the sequencing and scheduling of course offerings within current budget constraints and the impact on completion to inform budget decisions.

Board Goal 2: Financial Responsibility
Promote a sustainable economic future for the District through advocacy, policy, monitoring, and adoption of a strategy to maintain accreditation and independence for the District.

2.2 Monitor that action plans and timelines are in place to provide Board oversight for bond funds, so that the construction program is well-managed, assures efficiency, limits overspending, and is in compliance with bond guidelines and Board direction. Oversight will include prioritization of projects. When exceptions or obstacles occur, conduct a debrief to determine how the process can be improved.

2.3 Receive reports on the status of the budget and progress on bond projects and spending with special attention to the Diego Rivera Theater to ensure that the building is completed for the return of the mural to
campus as soon as possible.

2.4 Work with the Chancellor and the bond oversight committee in building trust and confidence with voters in the College’s ability to deliver on the College’s facilities bond program.

2.5 Monitor that the allocation of financial and human resources is within budget and meets the needs of the College.

Board Goal 3: DEI/Social Justice
Take actions to ensure the District is welcoming, is representative of the community, and supports the success of all students and employees, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, disability, immigration status, learning differences, sexual orientation, religion, or veteran status.
3.1 Support the College's participation in a state pilot DEIBAR (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Anti-Racism) survey for students and review results for policy implications.

3.2 Learn about the hiring process and monitor progress on initiatives that result in a workforce reflective of the student population, especially within the faculty.

Build capacity for effective Board governance and the fulfillment of the Board’s fiduciary responsibilities.
4.1 Support the Chancellor’s success in leading the District, including conducting regular Chancellor evaluations.

4.2 Communicate and uphold student-centered values and strategies that support student learning in all Board deliberations.

4.3 Lead the College in building campus morale and in creating a healthy and collegial College climate.

4.4 Provide onboarding for new trustees, including visits to CCSF facilities for new and existing trustees and encouraging new trustees to participate in state and national conferences.

4.5 Require sufficient time for deliberation so that decisions take into consideration what is best for students, employees, and the community.
