Low brass
Why? Loud doot noises

3/5/2025 15:10:35Alicia SharpI am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and have a little over 20 years of experience in the pageantry arts and teaching. I started band and color guard in middle school, playing french horn and getting to spin with the high school band program. Because my high school did not have winter programs, I started marching winter with independent groups at 13 years old. I completed two summers of Drum Corp before I figured out that I was more of an indoor girl, and I ultimately marched 6 seasons of winter before completing my performing career with Etude Winter Guard. I have served as color guard director, program coordinator, visual coordinator, and designer for various programs throughout the south east, with my primary focus being in program design. I serve as a fall visual and color guard judge and in the winter I am a member of the Gulf Coast Judges Association. I hold a bachelors degree in English and a master's degree in Education, though I have stepped away from teaching full time and now work as a writer and project coordinator. I reside in east Tennessee with my sons, Elliot and Atticus, and my partner Spence. https://www.linkedin.com/in/adsharp514/@Aliciaontiktok2@Aliciaoninsta2I dont think I ever didn't know this. I wanted to join band the moment I could in school, anxiously waiting in elementary school for our weekly music class. The first time I saw a girl spinning flag in the middle school band room I was 11 and I walked right up to her and asked if she would teach me something. The first thing I ever learned was that day, and it was a one handed (left) 45 toss. haha! When performing I would have said I'm the ballad with the giant over the top swing flags and dramatic performance level. Now that I'm older and just teaching, I'm the band parent driving the truck in the parade, give me a seat, a heater, and a cup of coffee and I'll volunteer.

I was faced with an instructor who saw the potential in me, took a chance on me, and gave me a space to grow as an individual. My history in the marching arts has been successful because people continued to take chances on me, and that didn't happen to me in any other aspect of my extra-cirricular lifeI believe I am the inspirer. I inspire students to do things they've never done before, I inspire students to take chances on themselves, because I was once there, and want to afford every opportunity possible to every student I come across

4/16/2025 18:40:42Whitney StoneI hail from the picturesque town of Sylva, North Carolina, where I spent my formative years and graduated from Smoky Mountain High School in 2003. My journey into the world of performance and color guard began early, as I danced for eight years with a local studio during my youth. Additionally, I was a dedicated flutist and a member of the school band, and my sophomore year saw me stepping into the colorful realm of color guard. Throughout my high school years, I dedicated myself to the art, completing a total of six seasons, four of which I proudly served as the Guard Captain.

Upon graduating from high school, my passion for color guard and performance led me to the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, where I marched for five incredible years from 2003 to 2007. In the 2006/2007 season, I had the honor of serving as the captain, and it was a truly remarkable experience. In 2007, our guard achieved a remarkable 2nd place at DCI, coming incredibly close to winning the prestigious Zingali Award.

My journey in the world of color guard continued as I also marched with the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band at Western Carolina University from 2003 to 2005, assuming the role of co-captain in 2005. I extended my winter guard experience by marching with The Study IW winter guard in 2004-2005 and First Flight IO in 2006.

Following my passion, I relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana, immersing myself further in the color guard community by joining the renowned Pride of Cincinnati. I marched with them in 2007, celebrating a World Championship victory, and in 2008, we secured a silver medal at the competition. In 2009, Pride of Cincinnati did not participate, so I found myself marching with Zydeco IW. Subsequently, I had the privilege of teaching Zydeco from 2011 to 2013, sharing my knowledge and expertise with the next generation.

Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege of teaching and directing numerous groups, including Carmel SW (2012 BOA Grand National Champion and ISSMA State Champs, 2013 IHSCGA State and World Champions; 2013 ISSMA state runner-up, BOA Silver Medalists, IHSCGA State Champs, and WGI Silver Medalists). I have also directed at Center Grove HS, taught at Northview HS, Lawrence Central HS, Greenfield Central HS, Decatur Central HS, New Palestine HS, and had the opportunity to work with esteemed drum and bugle corps like the Troopers (2009 DCI finalists), Crossmen (2012-2017), and the Madison Scouts (2014). My teaching experience extends to various groups in Indiana and Ohio.

In the great state of Texas, I've shared my knowledge with students at RRHS (Director), Austin High School (Director), Lake Travis (Director), Vista Ridge, Anderson, Cedar Ridge, Hendrickson, Hebron, Moe and Gene Johnson, Westwood, Stony Point, Brazoswood, Marcus, Hutto HS, as well as ATX and Origins Winter Guards.

In addition to my passion for color guard and the performing arts, I pursued a degree in cosmetology from Paul Mitchell The School, graduating in 2010. This has allowed me to design hair and makeup looks for many of the aforementioned color guard groups, including the renowned Pride of Cincinnati in 2013, when they claimed the title of WGI World Champions.
DancerwhitDancerwhitSometime during my first season of HS color guard! I would be the front ensemble. They’re so beautiful.

4/16/2025 19:19:04Ashlee AmosWith a rich background spanning baton twirling, color guard, and drum corps, Ashlee brings a unique blend of technical expertise and artistic vision to her role. As a multi-organization licensed baton twirling judge, drill designer and choreographer for the Rising Sun High School Marching Band, and instructor for the University of Delaware “Golden Girl” twirlers, Ashlee is dedicated to fostering creativity and growth within the marching arts community.

Ashlee’s journey began in Maryland, where she followed a family legacy of performing arts. A third-generation twirler, Ashlee’s passion for performance was nurtured early on through her time with the Wheaton Dance/Twirl Teams. Her introduction to color guard came in high school, where she joined the activity as a twirler for her marching band. That decision opened doors to incredible opportunities, including performing with the University of Delaware’s *Delazure*, world-class finalist *AMP Winterguard*, and the *Hawthorne Caballeros* drum and bugle corps.

Drawing from her diverse experiences, Ashlee highlights the parallels between baton twirling, color guard, and drum corps. While each discipline has unique characteristics, she emphasizes their shared focus on artistry, technique, and precision. Her technical foundation in twirling provided a solid base as she transitioned into color guard, allowing her to excel in both performance and teaching.

For the past ten years, Ashlee has dedicated herself to coaching high school color guard students, as well as designing and choreographing impactful shows for the Rising Sun High School Marching Band in Maryland. She instills in her students the importance of mastering basics to build a strong foundation—a philosophy that aligns perfectly with her approach as a baton twirling judge, where she balances constructive criticism with encouragement to help young athletes thrive and find joy in their craft.

When she’s not shaping the future of the marching arts, Ashlee is making a difference in her community. She works at the Register of Wills for Cecil County, Maryland—a role that combines her organizational skills with a desire to help others during challenging times.
@famousamossss_@famousamossss_When I came out of the womb! Being a third-generation marching arts fanatic gave me no choice but to be fully immersed in this activity- I’d have it no other way.The drum break- sometimes subtle, but can be fiery, quick, and witty when you least expect it!
