There is a funder prepared to fund these packages but PNLT needs a recommendation to a supply chain.

West Neighbourhood HouseClaire-Helene Heese-Boutinclairehe@westnh.orgWest Neighbourhood House is moving many programs to phone and online interactions but are keeping the following open for in-person work for now –limiting to the most vulnerable participants: Meals on Wheels; Case Management; Meeting Place (drop-in for homeless people); Violence Against Women (phone and online only); Assisted Living, Home Support, Supportive Housing; Home At Last. WNH is in the process of evaluating care for people in their Adult Day Program and Financial Empowerment and Problem-Solving (FEPS). At this point, their income tax clinics are still working.Food Support: West Neighbourhood House is coordinating a Meals on Wheels program to deliver food to vulnerable community members within their catchment area going from the Lakeshore in the south to Bloor Street in the north and from Bathurst Street in the east to Roncesvalles Ave in the west.

As of next week, only distributing to FOOD BANKS and not meal/snack programs as they deal with less available staff. Parkdale Queen West Community Health CentreCourtnay McFarlaneCMcFarlane@pqwchc.caPrimary care services are being provided to clients in need of urgent care, non-urgent appointments are being converted to phone appointments. All group programs have been cancelled. This is being reviewed and may change in light of the needs of vulnerable clients. Telephone calls are being made to provide support to group clients identified as vulnerable. Counselling appointments have also been converted to telephone appointments. Intake for counselling and client support continues and can be accessed by calling 416-537-2455 ext 1262

Harm reduction and safe consumptions services at both location remain open. Limited food from Second Harvest is also available at the SCS at Parkdale.

Access to the building for clients without appointments is limited. All clients will be screened at site entrances.
Mental Health Support: Counselling can be accessed at the Parkdale site by calling Lindsay at 416-537-2455 ext 1262 and at the Queen West site by calling Alex at 416-703-8482 ext 2106. Counselling will be provide by telephone. People who do not have telephones can come in to either site and be provided access to one.

Food Support: Bag lunches and medicine bundles of the 4 sacred medicines will be provided to clients of the 4 Winds Indigenous progam Mondays 10 am - 12:30 pm at the Parkdale site and Fridays 10 am - 12:30 pm at the Queen West and Bathurst site. Limited distribution of food from Second Harvest at the SCS at Parkdale.

SisteringShelley Nichollsshelley@sistering.orgDue to the recent escalation of events and health directives, we have had to make a number of difficult decisions in regards to our programs and services available to our participants.

We have temporarily closed our Bloor Drop In at 962 Bloor West and have relocated to the nearby Masaryk Cowan Community Centre in Parkdale to allow for adequate physical distancing between staff and participants.

Our team of front line workers continues to serve and protect our participants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are committed to maintaining our Food Access, Harm Reduction and Medical Clinic programs at our new site. Our Case Support and Parkdale teams will continue supporting clients remotely.

Centre for Mindfulness Studies--The Centre will be moving all current and upcoming programs to their online platform. This will have minimal impact on clients who will be able to access the content “live” from the comfort and safety of their homes. Current program participants will be contacted with further details. All future programs will be run online until further notice. The office will be open virtually with staff working remotely.Mental Health Support: The Centre will run daily meditation/mid-day check-ins with a faculty member at 12pm EST.
