4/15/20AllAre there grants/scholarships or free opportunities for business owners/managers to take online classes/webinars to continue their education while also trying to not spend money Ask others in your industry what they're doing; Region10 is a good resource; SBDC is hosting a weekly Monday webinar (https://clients.coloradosbdc.org/workshop.aspx?ekey=160400020)

4/13/20CountyOutfitters/GuidesHas there been any guidance about how tourism travel restrictions might take place? Locals first? 2nd homeowners next? Interstate following? Regional? How will this be enforced? Not at this time but it will be discussed and communicated as public health orders are updated. 4/16 4/20 UPDATE FROM JOHN NORTON - STATE CALL THIS MORNING All this is provisional, of course will be ultimately determined by our county officials, but the state these past weeks has avoided naming dates, and this morning it did not.
May and/or June, the state would begin opening to in-state travel. The governor might take an in-state road trip, getting coverage in the news. A campaign would appear, Let’s CO! (As in Let’s Go!) A statewide “Colorado Restaurant Week” is imagined
July, opening with out of state travelers. It’s anticipated that there still may be social distancing and so on
End of summer/beginning of fall, wider-open travel. CTO is holding 60% of its non-snow budget for targeting this time period

4/13/20State/RegionalOutfitters/GuidesAre there any rental business guidelines out there for cleaning and sanitizing equipment? CDC guidelines are good but not specific to our industry.Related to this, with specific guidelines were WVU's COVID rec equipment guidelines here: https://adventurewv.wvu.edu/files/d/c3de31e7-c059-4a4d-9ea2-0347f5623980/covid-19-orc-response.pdf 4/16

4/10/20CountyAllFrom Betsy Holena @ Health and Human Services: Is there any valley wide information on how many people we anticipated were laid off or lost work due to COVID and its circumstances?(this is for a grant) or any idea where I could find this information? This number will help us not only request additional funding, but budget what we do have a little better.
Unemployment data by county can be found here and should be updated on April 17. https://www.bls.gov/lau/tables.htm 4/10

4/8/20CountyAllHello everyone, I'm wondering if any one is aware of a resource for parents to use for those who don't have Internet? Some of my Spanish speaking families are struggling with teaching from home because they don't have Internet access. Has this been discussed at all? - Came from Devan Haney through IC Slack.Leslie Nichols, Superintendent “I will continue to work tirelessly to eliminate internet access problems some families are facing. Spectrum is offering two months of free service to new new customers with students. IC Connex is offering free service in their WiFi area in the City of Gunnison. IC Connex and Xtream Internet will troubleshoot particular cases to get families access. I'm working with ViaSat and HughesNet to find solutions for our families who need satellite internet. Customers can ask CenturyLink for the best speeds they can provide. The district still has Verizon hotspots available to provide internet service to families in range of cell service.” 4/10

4/8/20CountyAllThe question from Devan Haney illustrates that we are not reaching anyone who doesn't have access to the internet. If they have a cell phone could we help get them unlimited data to help them access resources better? Or how can we help these families through isolation? Last, is there a point person who can reach this population?Leslie Nichols, Superintendent “I will continue to work tirelessly to eliminate internet access problems some families are facing. 4/6/20CountyOutfitters/GuidesAre there any resources for performing CPR/First Aid/WFR recertifications due to cancelled events this spring? Travis mentioned some online options for training as well as local fire departments who could potentially sign off in person.Per CBFPD: The best option right now would be to complete the online class and then visit our department for a skills check off. CBFPD willing to provide 1 on 1 skills check off session upon completion of the online class. Suggest onlineaha.org. If an outfitter group as a whole needs it, suggested that they pick the exact same class and time it so CBFPD has 1 roster to submit for cards. The AHA has also issued a statement on extending the expiration dates of their cards for 120 days if that is helpful. That information can be found here: https://cpr.heart.org/-/media/cpr-files/resources/covid-19-resources-for-cpr-training/covid19-statement_card-extensions_update-33120.pdf

3/30/20CountyOutfitter/GuidesCan our own blog posts be re-broadcast by TA?John Norton: Yes, send copy to howdy@icelab.co for review
55

CountyOutfitter/GuidesIs there an opportunity to utilize LMD tax funds to support lodging and tourism-based businesses in this time of need? Specifically, those businesses that pay LMD taxes would receive the support for the LMD fund.TAPP staff is integral to our response to the pandemic, both directly in Incident Command by providing the PIO function and through the ICELab leading the economic recovery efforts. Although marketing of the valley to tourists is postponed, we expect the marketing messaging when launched to be more concentrated in our target markets. We estimate that every point of lodging occupancy is worth approximately $3M in revenues to our businesses in the valley. We have found no other opportunity to invest LMD funds that comes close to this impact.

CountyOutfitter/GuidesWe are asking that the County continue to support and also further prioritize public-private partnerships in the tourism/recreation industries with the Federal and State funding they receive as a result of the crisis.I'm unclear what they're referencing re public-private partnerships. Could we have more detail?

CountyOutfitter/GuidesCan the Task Force include public land agencies moving forward? We would like to explore the possibility of waiving permits costs and fees for outfitting and guiding businesses who operate on public lands. This could greatly help cashflow when we do get back up and running.John Messner is looking into the suggestions listed for public land fee relief.
137
CountyOutfitter/GuidesIs TAPP willing to share their current marketing plan and some examples as to how they are currently marketing the valley? Recreation and tourism businesses are interested in learning from them: what to market? When? Stop/start/continue?Yes, John Norton joining Monday O/G Subgroup call to share.
