The only con is the selection of themes for the students to choose from. The school does not have the Pro upgrade for Animoto.

I discovered this site during a foreign language conference that I recently went to so I have not really been able to check it out in detail. We saw an example that the presenter did and it seemed pretty easy to use. Basically, it has ability to upload a video and insert questions with the format similar to kahoot.

3/11/2015 14:11:02Eric SimmonsEnglish/Language ArtsCitation Machinehttp://www.citationmachine.net/Citations/Research (examples: Easy Bib, Turn It In)Citation Machine is a good introductory tool to MLA format (as well as other formats of research papers or documents). This formats the information of any source that goes on a work cited page. This helps students become familiar with MLA vocabulary and know where to find the specific information.

The only con is that students may rely too much on using this to cite sources instead of using to to become acclimated to MLA format.

3/11/2015 12:14:17Katie HolleyEnglish/Language ArtsGoogle Classroomclassroom.google.comCitations/Research (examples: Easy Bib, Turn It In)I love Google Classroom. The only con is that it does not let you know when students who missed the assignment turn it in at a later date. I always asked student to shoot me an email if they are making up a missed assignment. This way I don't have to do back and constantly open assignments looking for missed work.

Communication (example: Remind 101), Games/Quizzes/Surveys (example: Kahoot)
When students open the Chrome web browser, they are prompted to log in to Chrome (as opposed to Gmail or Drive), which often results in an error message because it tries to send them to Google Plus. This causes confusion and frustration on the part of the students. Along those same lines, I am continually surprised by students' general lack of knowledge in terms of navigating a web browser. For example, I've found that most students do not type in an address in the URL bar. Instead, they will type in "gmail" and then search, which is adding unnecessary steps. As far as pros are concerned, Google integration has streamlined so many things as far as collaboration and pushing assignments out to students. It is fabulous!
